Replying to:

Aether was thrown into the circular file over 100 years ago. This sounds like a rehash.
Posted by derekmcd

well, wasn't photon thought to be wave, then it was 'thrown into the circular file' for some hundred yrs and it was thought to be a particle which was then 'thrown into the circular file' and was thought to be wave for some hundred yrs give or take (I just throw in those centuries, nobody quote me on that or learn history of physics from that, pls) and then it was particle again at the turn of last century and shortly after that it was settled by deciding that it is both particle and wave depending how one looks at it LOL a fitting capping of centuries of confusion, now that all permutations of ignorance are exhausted physicists can sleep well for many centuries to come. safe in the belief that nobody can beat that, or can they

same with the ether, it is rocky going and its past is heap of bungled theories concerning it but its future hasn't been settled yet I dare say

btw., this is not meant as endorsment of the thread poster's theories which I believe are completely wrong and not worth even refuting, so don't call on me to support my claim as is becoming habit on these forums lately

vandivx: Physicsts agree that Energy is an equivalent form of mass, and so therefore (massless) dark-energy-radiation conveniently fills-in the 95% of the Universe they believe to be missing. It's really pretty simple. www.dark-energyuniverse.com

What is it with non-mainstream "theories" and their "excessive" use of quotation marks? There is absolutely no reason to put quotes around "speed of light" or "dark energy". I glanced through your "condensed" version...I guess you could call it condensed in much the same way as if you threw a bag of garbage into a trash compactor. It's still garbage. Although something could be refuted in basically every sentence you wrote on that website, I'll just pick one that demonstrates your lack of basic physics understanding:

Replying to:

Because electro-magnetic waves, have no inherent means of transportation.

Man, I mustn't have been paying attention at all in my E&M classes. For example, light waves travel due to the oscillation of the associated E and B fields.

The problem with these crackpot theories is they sound great and elegant...until you take a real physics course. If you told this to someone off the street they would most likely be mystified and assume you knew what you're talking about. However, this a science forum. If you come here making off the wall statements about things you clearly don't understand, you are going to get called out on it and torn apart, and rightfully so. Please do yourself, and especially us, a favor and leave the formulation of theories such as this to people who are actually qualified. This theory has about as much credibility as me saying gravity is a direct result of a series of huge vacuum cleaners pointing in different directions that someone forgot to turn off.

There isn't even a scrap of evidence in the site. When you say it travels at 300,000,000 m/s this implies a direction. What determines in which direction this dark-energy-radiation, which is carrying the photons we observe, goes ? How come I don't observe an electric or magnetic feild associated with the current flow (given this D-E-M has a charge and is moving) ?

-----------------------------------------------------

Ask not what your Forum Software can do do on you,

Ask it to, please for the love of all that's Holy, STOP !
