THE KEY TO A SPACE SOCIETY

The reason we need to find resources in space such as minerals, materials and energy creation is to manufacturer what we need in space in space. Transporting materials from Earth is the biggest waste of effort as far as space is concerned. Transporting finished products and equipment is a slightly less big waste. Transporting information is free. Space transport from Earth to space is really all about people. Make it cheap for people to get to space and then manufacture what you need in space in space itself or on the moon or another low gravity environment. This is definitly not a one step process.
