It looks like two distant lights recorded on a camcorder. I think if it is a humid night and you filmed a distant street light you would get exactly the same thing. What is the big deal?

Great, the guy spent 3 hours taking out of focus pictures of bright stars twinkling near the Horizon.

See any of the dozens of "what is that red ahd green flashing object" threads in Ask the Astronomer.

If you look at the most recent one, you can link to images Adrenalynn took of Capella and another one.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Techically, its either a UFO...or UO. The explanations (Blurry distant lights not necessarily flying) already given here would qualify it as a UO. And once again, proof of it being an ET piloted vehicle eludes us.

My borrowed quote for the time being:

There are three kinds of people in life. Those who make it happen, those who watch it happen...and those who do not know what happened.

But that could not be distant street light, the video was taken focused towards the sky.
And did you see the different colors it emitted? What does that mean?
It was in the sky, people noticed.

Oops! this is my alien friend.

╬→Ť╠╣є ’ M€ ’
╬→ Ðôŵņ2Ëãřŧĥ ๑
╬→ ЙДm€ :Varsha

it could be two aircraft in a "stack" waiting to approach an airport off in the distance.

possible thermocline reflection, similar to that seen in water. Caused by a well defined boundary between two masses of significantly different temperatures.

"it could be two aircraft in a "stack" waiting to approach an airport off in the distance. "

According to me, media would have founded this. The media was extremely curious about investigating the matter, I daresay, more than the astronomers. In no time were the bulletins set to disclose the news and the matter was being debated on.

"possible thermocline reflection, similar to that seen in water. Caused by a well defined boundary between two masses of significantly different temperatures. "

--sure its rainy weather in Kolkata, so there can be chaces of such possibilities, but an aircraft looks unfavourable.

Oops! this is my alien friend.

╬→Ť╠╣є ’ M€ ’
╬→ Ðôŵņ2Ëãřŧĥ ๑
╬→ ЙДm€ :Varsha

It is twinkling stars. They change colors a lot. Look at the threads I suggested.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Monsters. The colours are going from one point to the other of the visible spectre, typical from what you get when you observe a source of light with too much enhancement or bad focus. The colours don’t come directly from the “objects†I would say, but from the camera’s optic that decomposed it (or it could also come from a very low position of the objects above the horizon). Same thing for the movement: typical from the moves you get when doing an extreme close-up and handle the camera with your hands: the movements come from the camera, not the objects.

Looked at my sky maps: guess what was pointing 25 degrees above the eastern horizon around 6 o’clock this Monday morning in India (precisely what is described in the article)? Venus. The planet was rising at 3 A.M. and was visible above the eastern horizon for the rest of the night, which would explain why it was observed from 3.30 to 6.30 A.M. Plus it was less than 2 degrees from Sigma Leo (a 4 magnitude star from the Leo constellation), which would explain why you see two objects on the film.
Yes, there's been a lot of talk, that it could be Venus

Oops! this is my alien friend.

╬→Ť╠╣є ’ M€ ’
╬→ Ðôŵņ2Ëãřŧĥ ๑
╬→ ЙДm€ :Varsha

The entire thing is some sort of prank. They happen from time to time. They did a similar act in 1998 and it was published in the newspapers. The sad thing is so called "scientists" and the ignorant media join in to add weight to this kind of circus.

Remembers me of some stories I read on the GEIPAN site. The GEIPAN was a french state organism who's mission was to investigate on every supposible UFO observation on the French territory. Since their results were close to squat, they were closed a few years ago but they published the results of all the investigations they made on this site (it's in french, so I guess not everybody here will be interested ):
http://www.cnes.fr/web/4461-geipan.php

Anyway, here's one of the stories: two men enjoying a nice evening in a town of the french atlantic coast sudenly perceive a very brilliant spot in the sky. They're intrigued, they've never seen that before. The spot is very brilliant and seems static in the sky. After having observed it for two hours, They call one of their friend which is in posession of good binoculars. When they observe the flying object in it, it's even more intriging: the brilliant spot is in fact a kind of saucer or a sphere, acompagned by four lesser brilliant spots. They observe the UFO until it slowly approaches the horizon and finally disappear under the horizon. First thing they do is calling the police and optionally local newspapers, and the next morning the UFO story is spread all around the town... Until the experts from the Geipan come, called by the police. The next night, the UFO appears again in the sky, and it takes about two seconds to the Geipan experts to identify the mysterious objects as... Jupiter and its moons
