The Mustang pilots who escorted the bombers over Germany in WW2. Len Deighton wrote a fine novel called "Goodbye Mickey Mouse" which if Spielberg did with the same sense of realism and spectacle as he did "Saving Private Ryan", he'd have a classic film. I'd also like to see a GOOD movie about The Red Baron, Manfred Von Richthoffen.

And speaking about Len Deighton, he also did a brilliant novel called "Bomber" which dealt with 24 hours in the life of a British Lancaster crew and the people behind the German defence, not to mention those German civilians on the receiving end of a 1000-bomber raid. It is a brilliant novel about the tragedy of war, especially a big war, and a good film version would have a special resonance today.

Also, I've always wanted to see a good movie about the rescue of the Skylab space workshop.

One Percent of Federal Funding For Space: America CAN Afford it!! LEO is a Prison -- It's time for a JAILBREAK!!
