We store information and plant seeds etc etc in various places on Earth in case of catastrophes. As we know all our eggs are in one basket , the planet we live on. Where else can a stable , safe , accessible place be found off Earth?

Thank you! Spread copies of our knowledge to many places in many moons seems to be the best bet for something of us surviving . Glad we keep on finding more and more moons!
Whenever they do find suitable places to store all we know as a species, I certainly hope each site is marked with some kind of beacon to mark it as an important depository of knowledge of Earth. Maybe also have a full and concise map of our solar system as it is when the information is deposited in case of a planet wide disaster.
Earth, of course. Though there may be pandemics, ecological annihilations, K-T level impacts, Yellowstone Caldera eruptions, and other major worldwide catastrophes, those will only effect the very surface of the Earth. 99.9% of the Earth will remain intact. Deep under Antarctica, deep within large mountains, deep at the margins of spreading ocean trenches, would be quite safe for a billion years. Visitors from another star system would naturally look at this planet first, since it is the most likely to have harbored life at one time, even if devoid of life when they arrive.
Mons Pico, on the Moon would be a good choice, as the Moon is basically a dead (geologically) world, where there's no volcano eruptions or moonquakes.

For future generations waiting to be found from inherited instructions or for aliens to find in the future.
If the latter probably on the Moon prominently displayed in a lead (or whatever) box surrounded by flags. For security, in several other places as well.

But we need do nothing more right now to ensure that future visitors know we were here.
Barring an earth shattering event, there will be evidence that an "advanced life form" existed on this planet and it will likely last for billions of years. And that information, though limited, are the remains of all the nuclear power plants scattered all over the surface. There is no way these could have occurred from a "natural" source.

The best way to store information is within the DNA of a very tough organism that can live throughout the Solar System.
The organism would also be the interpreter for the information. A drug could trigger its “read” function and the data would then become available for conscious retrieval.
An alien civilization could then physically interact with that organism to help translate the data for them.
This iteration by the alien engineers could use a little more fine-tuning.

OK I know the gibberish thing they sent into space, but that conveys (hopefully) that we originated (so far as we know) from the third planet out and that we have two legs.
But would you not wish your archive to convey more than that?

One idea did occur to me whilst researching Uranus' moons. looking at a photo of Miranda there is a large V, each arm being about 50 miles long and a few miles deep. The point of the V approaches a line of mountains, being separated by a flat plain.
These are, of course, natural features, but if it occurred to me, then it might occur to others that the plain might be used to indicate a finer pointer to indicate a hidden message. This could of course be recognised by humans but not necessarily by aliens. Aliens might of course dismiss the first V as gross natural features, which they are. Perhaps only humans might spot the possibility of using it as a clue. Much would depend on the subtilty of subsequent pointer(s).

Clearly the requirement to do this is not stated. Let's get into Space first and colonize, show that we've stop killing each other, one language, have societies where equality rules then we have something to be proud of! Given that it is a good idea (escapes me!) it will need to be live for updates. Several copies in different tech will be required and need to survive the coming supernova.
It hasn`t been found such a place yet . We wont be able to survive on planets we already know without special equipment. Even if there is a planet in another galaxy which is acceptable for human creatures to live on, I assume that we wont be able to reach this planet now and in the nearest future.
