"The Man in the High Castle"? a movie maybe, but I dont see it as a TV show without lots of distortions, although the 'what if' world it takes place in could be used for a good series. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p> </p><p><font color="#993366"><em>The only laws of matter are those which our minds must fabricate, and the only laws of mind are fabricated for it by matter.</em> <br /> --- James Clerk Maxwell</font></p> </div>

My all time personal favorite candidate for a series of high production movies is still the "Lensmen" series. But it will probably never happen. The Japanese saw to that with, as the great net personality GharlaneOfEddore stated, "the never-to-be-sufficiently-damned anime!" <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><strong><font color="#ff0000">Vote </font><font color="#3366ff">Libertarian</font></strong></p> </div>

That 'My Little Borg Pony' we saw here a while back is pretty good fodder (pun alert) for a series. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#ff0000"><strong>TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!</strong></font></p><p><font color="#339966"><strong>So many people, so few recipes !!</strong></font></p><p><font color="#0000ff"><strong>Let's clean up this stinkhole !!</strong></font> </p> </div>

Science fiction is the literature of ideas. Only an anthology series can explore a new idea with each episode; even Star Trek got old. I feel the original black-and-white "Outer Limits" was the best in this regard, Remember Harlan Ellison's "Demon with a Glass Hand?" The original "Twilight Zone" was also very good. SF writers would be the best source of scripts, or indeed the huge library of SF short stories. For a series title, I'd borrow "Destination Universe" from AE van Voght.<br /><br />Among contemporary series, there's no question: "Dr. Who" is tops.

I would like to see them make an updated movie on The Day the Earth Stood Still but make it more timely...something about wars on Earth and environmental destruction.

To Danwoodard ...the only reason Star Trek got old was because they went back in time to the founding of the Federation instead of forward past the years of DS 9, Voyager and STNG ....IF they would have went forward it would have been a great series and they wouldnt have canceled it so soon. ST would still be living on and on and on.

I'd like to see the Voyager dinosaurs "come home." Not a violent shoot-em-up, but rather a "this is where we will live, and this is where you must leave" sort of thing. In exchange, coexistence and technological rewards for humanity - as subjects of the Dino-queen.

"Voyager dinosaurs"?<br />I did not follow the series to closely, as I could not find it many times, but did see the T.V. ending, kinda choppy, but alright.<br /><br />But there were two books from the series that were kinda good, and took up what happened to them after they made it back to earth, along with the conspiracy they had to face together, and the hologram uprising that involved the doctor as well. That was good, and probably would be a good movie to make, (don't know about great though).<br /><br />But back to those dinosaurs?

I would really like to see them make a new Dr Strange movie...Anyone remember Dr Strange from Marvel Comics? I was a big Dr Strange fan. That would be a blockbuster movie....IF they did it right. Oh well we will see if they make a Dr Strange movie..........Now that i mentioned it here on Space.com....lol.

Aliens eating people and then the aliens having sex with each other.<br /><br />Very lurid and very graphic.<br /><br /><br />Iron Chef + porno + Alien 3 = Fox ratings blockbuster!<br /> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#ff0000"><strong>TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!</strong></font></p><p><font color="#339966"><strong>So many people, so few recipes !!</strong></font></p><p><font color="#0000ff"><strong>Let's clean up this stinkhole !!</strong></font> </p> </div>

I seem to remember them making a big budget movie about Dr. Strange some years back. Or am I getting it confused with Alex Balwin and the The Shadow?

Yes hraccts ...they did make a Dr Strange movie (1978) ...i own it ...it is really good for being low budget ...Special effects were unique and quite imaginative in my opinion. It was a well done movie for being low budget ...It is now a collectors movie. I would love to see what they do with Dr Strange with modern movie special fx. But they might never make another one considering the comic isnt even in print anymore. I have no idea why they stopped producing that comic ...it was quite good.

I (think I) remember a made-for-TV movie about Dr. Strange somewhere back in the 1970's.<br /><br />It was set at the time at which Strange first becomes involved in "magick"<br /><br />Wayne <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p>"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything."  Admiral Jackie Fisher</p> </div>

Thanks for the update. I could not remember much about it, but thought it was made. I would like to see that show again, even with the limitations of it.<br /><br />Yes, I did enjoy the comic as well, but was never into much mystic or magic stuff they had there. But I do remember him being a doctor who was a drunk, and got involved with some mystic person, or something close to that. I will be on the look-out for that one.

A series, similiar to Star Trek, except 1) the human systems are disunited, and we find different forms of government, 2) the worlds visited really look distinct, and not like dry oatmeal with purple food coloring mixed in, and 3) for goodness sake...the starships are more colorful and varied, and not like a collection of high-tech kitchen appliances...and aliens that aren't humanoid...and lastly, the uniforms are a little more snazzy and "classic", I don't want to see the starship crew dressed up like they all work as surgical technicians...please!

A Sci-fi show you say eh... well how about President Bush being experimented on by aliens. A alien probe stuck in Bush's a** will be interesting.<br /><br /><font color="red"><b> Mother ship...
