Actually, Ceres only affects small things. Like mis-placing your car keys. Whereas Pluto affects more important and worrisome things, like losing your wallet.

So, does that mean the falling pianos are in Saturn's or Neptune's domain?
I guess Jupiter is in charge of cataclysmic disasters like cold broccoli soup and warm shaken bear, right?

Oh hell no man. Jupiter is involved with losing your job or your house burning to the ground, and Mercury snuck in there to influence you not to buy home insurance.

Saturn involves things like your wife or girlfriend dumping you.

And Earth... hey, wait a minute, how come astrologers never talk about the most influential celestial body on us other than the Sun? Hmmm.... Let's see, what of Mars could possibly affect my personality and destiny? Reflected light from Mars is pretty feeble from Earth, um... gravity from Mars is less than the gravity from my Aunt Bertha's ass walking by.... that is a conundrum! :)

From earliest times, man looked to the sky, wondered and observed. Eventually patterns emerged, such as the fact that certain days came along which were exactly equal in day and night time, and that they corresponded to when it was time to sow the crops, or gather them. Naturally, we are now able to learn that the orbit of the earth around the sun brings changes in seasons. But back then, they believed that the position of the celestial bodies dictated certain events on earth. And from that concept astrology emerged. They (astronomy and astrology) were basically one and the same (many famous astronomers performed astrological predictions) until the discovery that the earth orbited the sun.

This is the point where astronomy and astrology parted, because astrology dictated that the earth was the center of the universe, which is technically inaccurate. Astronomy is based on science, facts, data, and logical reasoning. Astrology is not based in facts or science, it is now more entertainment and a subject of belief for those who so wish.

E-man- Yeah. No kidding sir. It is apparent to you that we are joshing around here, isn't it? Few here, or none at all, take astrology seriously and, from what I've gathered, most know the history of it and why peoples came to believe that because astronomy could predict the seasons and solar and lunar eclipses, that "astrology" and "astrologers" took it a step further in claiming that they could also predict human events and personalities.

It's a joke, and we all realize that, ok?
