When we gain it at some time in the future if we ever break out to the space frontier we would continuously power up in accelerations, even from such low gravity as a constant of 1g, from cosmic energies to accelerate contraction of the local-relative universe. We could even discover, as in quantum mechanics, the space between star systems to be subject to inertia-less possibilities of speed at constant accelerations (thus constant acceleration of contraction of SPACE and SPACETIME . . . warping . . . the relative local universe) allowing limitless possibilities of shrinking distances between points of the galaxy.

Our main problem will be finding there are others who beat us to spacefaring and, exactly like us, they will be species as complex and chaotic as we are. Mental evolution, like physical evolution, encompasses a pyramid of life and is a tree that branches out to no end . . . for that branching may strike eternal internal wars within intelligent advanced species but is the ultimate survival form of life.

Being the apex of the pyramid in the shape of a whole pyramid of life, advanced life will be rarer than the pyramid itself but no less infinite in an infinity of universes. We will, if we manage to break out from our imprisonment to Earth, find other life and, sooner or later, run into other advanced spacefaring life, none of it that will be much more advanced on some kind of a Utopian mental spike than we will be due to evolutionary branching (complexity to chaos (collapse, splitting, of complexity gone too far)) for survival of the species rather than non-survivalist spiking. We went up the grade because we went out -- we branched out -- the grade.

I don't disagree with what is in the article, but I don't think it does much more than update us to what we currently know.

At this point, I think we are close to finding out if life originates easily on many planets, or not. If it does, then the search for planets with intelligent life that has the potential to communicate with other planets would need to look for planets that have both water and rocky surfaces, etc. because a bunch of creatures confined to an ocean are not going to start transmitting radio signals, and probably don't understand fire.

So, the search for the necessary type of planet would be the next major issue.

Only with that information can we deduce whether the product of the probability that a intelligent and technologically communicative society will arise times its length of time in existence is rare or common, given the opportunity. And, we aren't likely to figure out that last pair of parameters separately unless we are able to find dead civilizations on other planets.

So, the existential question for humans on Earth is whether we can keep finding our way through the problems we create for ourselves, or not.

Even if we do survive as a technological society for the next few billion years, there is still the possibility that it is simply not possible for us (or any other technological society) to "spread across the galaxy" due to the limits imposed by physical reality of distance and speed limits. So, we can't use the apparent fact that no technological society has "spread across the galaxy" as evidence that there are no other technological societies in existence in the galaxy with very long periods of existence ("L" in Drake's Equation).
Absolutely, Shashi! Based on the themes in your video, here’s a response that ties into the discussion while naturally introducing your perspective:

*"You raise an interesting point about planetary conditions shaping the search for intelligent life. Even if life arises frequently, it may be confined to environments that limit technological evolution—like deep oceans where fire and radio technology would never develop. But beyond just finding habitable worlds, there’s another unsettling possibility—what if extraterrestrial civilizations are deliberately silent?

The Fermi Paradox suggests we should have encountered alien signals by now, but theories like the ‘Zoo Hypothesis’ propose that advanced beings may be observing us while ensuring we evolve naturally—never revealing themselves. Alternatively, they might communicate using methods beyond our understanding, like quantum or dark matter-based signals that we’ve completely overlooked.

The counterargument to the "Zoo Hypothesis" is that if there are thousands of civilizations out there, not all of them would agree to stay hidden. The very advanced ones use dark-quantum radio or other magic to communicate, but not all of them would reach that level by now, some might be only 100 years ahead of us and use our kind of radios and have not yet joined the zoo-keeper club.

We have only the Earth as an example, but we can multiply it. Let's observe the Earth once each day for 4.5 billion years. Now we have nearly a trillion observations of a planet. Pretend each observation is a planet of its own. Now we have really good statistics. Of those trillion planets, something like 900 billion of them have only bacteria-like life, not even eukaryotic cells. Not even a million of them have the technology to buid a simple radio. Of course, this method does not observe the future Earth and we would only be guessing if we tried.

Another good answer to "where are they?" is that the other intelligent animals that evolved have a different psychology. Humans' environmental niche is to explore and then tell the others what was found. Like honey bees. We then have a means of walking that uses very few calories compared to other animals. So the group as a whole can find food and expend little energy. What if the aliens did not have this instinctive need to explore? Perhaps they were herd animals? They might build computers and play video games, but they might not care to look in the sky with telescopes. The goal in their video game is to move your character to a place with even higher population density where he will be happy and feel safe. Such a species would not want to explore space.

Gentlemen what we are dealing with here is the great stupidity. Humanity continues to be truly stupid in believing in a science that is the primitive science. We rely on science almost completely and ignore that the intelligent lifeforms observing us do not wish to reveal themselves. We dismiss the countless number of credible witnesses who reveal they have seen spacecraft that defy the laws of physics. We need to all believe them, and focus on that as our goal going forward. At the same time we must be careful to believe only those witnesses who are credible.

Believe who? those conspiracy theorists who claim they were abducted by aliens?
You can't be serious.

I'd really like to know their motivation for self humiliation.

They look more like evangelists, "credibly" witnessing something that does not exist or did not happen.

There have been 2 congressional hearings where whistleblowers have testified they have observed spacecraft that defy the laws of physics. This is the type of very serious testimony we need to address. It is factual information and true statements by credible people. Both congress and the Senate Armed Services Committee continue to put pressure on both the Pentagon and the DOD to release information concerning all classified material as it relates to UAP's.

People love to lie. Other people like to be deceived, something more, they needs to be deceived. Everywhere, the Congress isn't exception. And yes have not any credible witnesses just some people's lying better than average Joe.

The deception and the lies are very real. It comes from two sides, those people looking to make a name for themselves through 'spoofing' or false claims of seeing UFO's. It also comes from both the Pentagon and the DOD who bend over backwards to hide the truth concerning intelligent lifeforms observing our world. This last part is very real. The good news is that congress will stop at nothing to reveal the truth. The science we rely so heavily on, is not going to help us in this scenario. No earth shattering headline. There is nothing wrong with relying on common sense and good people who have the courage to come forward in the face of adversity.

Proof of an alien visitor would reset man’s historical clock. AA. After Alien.

And that calendar’s name will be the human who exposes it. Maybe even a royalty. But very rich and famous no matter what happens. All on this world and prodigy will know that name. If you are in to such.

It will be the greatest event of mankind history.

No one can keep that secret.

If a real alien steps one foot here, we will all know about it.

These people who claim alien spacecraft or alien visitation are nothing new and there is quite a bit of them.
But you need to know that in their society where they live they're being ridiculed and made fun of.
Similar to David Icke, but at least he let us know his motives which are realistic.

Not all of them are conspiracy theorists, some of them seek personal glory and some are probably even paid, the actually motives most likely vary and are not unique.

We are at the stage known as the tip of the iceberg. We have discovered 1000's of worlds in a galaxy where there are trillions of them. We have recently found biosignatures on K2-18b. Again, just a drop in the bucket. The congressional meetings which invited whistleblowers are good examples of credible witnesses. They have reported seeing spacecraft that defy the laws of physics. They gain nothing from coming forward and everything to lose from reporting what they witnessed. We are not talking about conspiracy, glory, paranoia or financial gain. Debunkers try to discredit the whistleblowers , but debunkers have already debunked the debunkers. The truth is very simple intelligent lifeforms are observing us and they do not want to reveal themselves.

If intelligent lifeforms from other worlds used a method similar to our transit method on our star system, they may see a strange object orbiting the 3rd planet. They will probably determine what it is. The ISS . An alien spacecraft built by an alien race.

So far as I have read, nobody has reported "spacecraft" defying the laws of physics. The reports have involved unexplained sightings of things in the atmosphere, with assumptions that they have entered the water at times - none in space. So, the assumption that they are spacecraft seems to be based on the assumption that the must be of extraterrestrial origin.
If intelligent lifeforms from other worlds used a method similar to our transit method on our star system, they may see a strange object orbiting the 3rd planet. They will probably determine what it is. The ISS . An alien spacecraft built by an alien race.
The transit method for finding planets uses the decrease in apparent intensity of light caused by a planet passing between its star and our vantage point on Earth. That does not work for something orbiting a planet, which is not emitting light of its own, just reflecting the light from its star. So, just looking at Earth from a distant planet would not reveal the ISS, and maybe not even our Moon, which is vastly larger.

It would not be easy to view Earth with enough detail from vast distances to be able to distinguish the ISS from a small asteroid orbiting the Earth.

Far easier to pick up radio transmissions from Earth and its vicinity due to our technology. But, that type of signal has only gone out to a distance of less than 100 light years, so far. The light reflected off the ISS has been going out into space for a much shorter time. And the light reflected from the Chinese space station is just now reaching the nearest star. So, unless "they" were already here before our technology leaps, we would be hard for extraterrestrials to notice from across the galaxy.

Life is some kind of super physics, a much higher level of physics than cosmic physics. So far it appears to be singular.

If life were to be found elsewhere, it and all other life will remain isolated. Life is generational and temporary. Life can modulate and reconfigure matter in ways and functions that cosmic physics can not. Life molecules are super high density energy structures. Which can sort, compare and make choices.

Life is the physics of choice. Super physics. This cosmos has no choice.

The barrier of time and distance, plus not knowing true locations and true velocities, makes interstellar travel impossible.

Because of those times and distances, true locations and trajectories are impossible to determine.

And following light to a star……. Is the longest(time and distance) possible route. The slowest route.

Useful for hollywood scripts only. Like warp speed. And transporters. And the star trek universe.

The real universe is cement and we can’t move in it. The cement of time and distance.

Any other life will be cemented too.

A 1000 years ago Europeans did not come to the Americas. The distances were too vast. How did that turn out?
Our ability to use the transit method will and has improved . Using it in conjunction with the JWST improves the technology. It already is being used now for microlensing.
We will never know the true origin of these spacecraft being witnessed, unless documents are declassified. Intelligent lifeforms are observing us. All that is known at present is that they do not wish to reveal themselves. It is reality.
We should not be surprised that the great stupidity will continue.

Dave's insistence that his beliefs are true blinds him to the other possibilities that might be the actual truth - and interferes with others' efforts to discover the real truth.

Science demands logic and verifiable facts. Statements that theories are true without those underpinnings are improper, whether being made about the origin of UFO/UAPs or the origins of the universe. Both are just theories - please stop insisting they are indisputable facts.

There are documents proving that it was not alien spacecraft but an anomaly that made it look so.
Such as pilot seeing anomalies in his visor during flight, that looked like spacecraft but it was not.

I read where some of those images were from sensors that were set at a range of 50 meters from the aircraft. A huge embarrassment for a navel aviator.

And a huge failure of our journalistic media. To quell down some of this hype.

Only a very few instances could not be explained.

This was not aired in the hearings. but are in the reports submitted at those hearings.

That no one reads.

I read a few of those reports and quit, because it's all hype. Nothing there.

How many alien craft have been detected transiting our low earth orbits? They should be well detected these days. I would think the USSF and others are closely tracking all traffic. I haven't heard of space UFOs. Maybe that's secret too.
