Replying to:

I seem to remember a follow on series called Crusade which featured a bad ass ship called Excalibur. The actor that played the captain was very good and I thought the series had potential.
Posted by bdewoody

I still haven't seen that. Hubby thought it was okay, if I recall correctly. I think it involved a war against the Drakh, agents of the Shadows who, towards the end of B5, had secretly taken up residence on Centauri Prime and ruled through Londo Mollari, who was forced to form a symbiotic bond with a "Keeper", a creature that can control a person's actions. (The one weakness of a Keeper is alcohol; they get drunk easily, and then fall asleep, providing a brief respite. Taking advantage of this respite is unwise, however, because they are light sleepers and can punish a person very thoroughly.)

I think the premise was that the Drakh had infected Earth with a plague and the Excalibur had to go out and find a cure, assisted by a technomage who had not yet left for the Rim.

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"
