Here is another one best viewed 1.5 or more meters back from your terminal. This looks like
geysers holes spraying the surounding terrain causing a dark discoloration.

Remember I can see it better than you can because I have the original high resolution image and
you have a low resolution one to fit on this board. I colorized this image.

M1700558psub
Ron Bennett

Image - M18-01349sub_oblq_v.5

Looks like some of the lakes shorelines here in NM due to the drought.

Don't let who you are keep you from becoming who you want to be!

Looks like some of the lakes shorelines here in NM due to the drought

I have been to NM, some areas in that state have some spectacular hidden wonders, along the
road less traveled. One of my favorite states for this kind of erosion is Utah.

I live in the Northwest, that image kind of remind me of some of the areas around here too.
Here is another erosion image. I had to decrease it to less than half the size to get it to fit 100k
on this board.

I'm going to be posting these enhanced images and much more on my moc-images web-site at
http://arrow-space-innovations.com. All the images I extracted out of the Surveyor and Odyssey
raw images that will be posted on my web-site - are spectacular. The colorized images by NASA
from there site will be further enhanced to bring out more details. I'm going to try to make it
more user friendly to the slower dial-up service providers, starting with the moc-images page.

The image below I colorized, sharpened and added contrast to it, this is what I ended up with.

E03-00728_sub100
Ron Bennett

Here's an interesting rock at Endurance:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

"I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. I can't wait to see it. I better get back to rover images, there are a few that came in at spirits site that
look interesting.

Here is a view from the top of "Spur" overlooking the other side, as a hiker it is always the icing
on the cake to view the other side of a hill or mountain from the top. I colorized it and rotated it
around so people don't break their necks trying to look at it sideways .

2P145013920EFF840
Ron Bennett

Here is an extreme close-up of the other side of "Spur", best viewing it from 1 to 1.5 meters . Notice
the Crusev crater walls towering above the foreground.
Ron Bennett

I finally got to see your image. I like what I saw so I extracted it out and enlarged some of it to a larger size,
here is what I got.

Ron Bennett

Here is an adjusted false color image taken by Oppy. I changed the channels settings to reflect a
greyish color of hematite.
Ron Bennett

Here is another one from Oppy in as close to "true" color as a combo of L2, L5 and L7 can get.

swampcat / spacechump - Some more great images. Thanks.

I'm trying not to post too much on the weekend, it takes space.com two days to approve
the images. Whoever they have covering the weekends must not approve of our images.

Thalion - Those are great pictures of the plains and walls of Gusev, Rlb. Keep up the good work

Thanks, here is a link to a web page I am setting up that I used to colorize and sharpen the
Mars Orbiter Cameras (MOC) Images. I have reprocessed 16 images so far. My main
purpose is to sharpen the images to make them more realistic and give them another color
besides grayscale. There are a lot of images I haven't included on this site yet that are very
interesting because I am trying to make it more user friendly to everyone which slows the
process down.

http://home.comcast.net/~moc-images/index.html

chew_on_this - Makes me hungry for some Booberry cereal.

If you look close enough you can also see some raisinets.

Ron Bennett
