Looking for a science advisor

<p>I am looking for a science advisor that would be specifically knowledgeable in these areas:</p><p>--Future space travel</p><p>--Terraforming Mars</p><p>--ELE (Extinction Level Events)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>If anyone can advise me where I could find one, I will be greatly appreciative.&nbsp; I am in the process of writing a movie and I don't want to do another Armageddon where it is pure science fiction, while I have no issue "suspending disbelief" for my story, I would love to work along side an advisor to fact check or theorize for me.&nbsp; Full credit will be given as "Science Advisor" and I will definitely work out acceptable compensation if the movie is actually sold/produced.</p><p>I can be contacted on this forum or directly at sonny@digitalblueglobal.com</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Thank you.</p><p>Sonny Dyon&nbsp;</p>

I'm not qualified ('just' a Paramedic).</p><p>I might suggest a few great books that I think suspend disbelief to a minimal level. All science fiction. </p><p>Assuming you haven't read them:</p><p><em>Lucifers Hammer -</em>Specifically, the after effects of a comet impacting the Earth. A geat amount of understandable science tossed in. Quite descriptive for sci fi (At least in this non scientists opinion)</p><p>The Mars books <em>Red Mars, Green Mars, </em>and <em>Blue Mars. </em>Colorization and terraforming of Mars is the central theme</p><p>By no means do I support plagerism but I think these would be of some help. As far as future space travel goes, I think it's going to be a long time until there is an option to toughing it out for long stretches of time in a rocket powered tin can. NASA's website has tons of readily available information. On current space travel and it's challenges.</p><p>Good luck with your dcreen play!</p>

<p>Why not just hang around here and ask questions? It might&nbsp;take you a while to figure out whose advice you like! &nbsp;</p><p>Also, rather than taking a single individuals advice you probably want to dig up some of the several architechtures for mars exploration that several reputable&nbsp;teams have come up with.</p><p>You might want to read "The Case For Mars" and rent the&nbsp;"Mars Underground" DVD just for starters.</p><p>And there seem to be heaps of good links here:</p><p>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonization_of_Mars</p>
