In science it is important that math is a mathematical verb or the math is not relative!
The above diagram describes how a radius between bodies is created by using a mathematical verb . Mathematical Verbs don't always give a numeric result but they all describe the process action !
A more simple example of a Mathematical Verb is 1+1 ! This states we have one of something and are adding a second thing to the first thing . This action explained by the operation and orders of the equation .
