Welcome to SDC.

Absolutely bloody brilliant stuff.

Very uplifting. Quite strange getting a southern hemisphere take on the sky.

The solar / lunar eclipses & Comet McNaught really did it for me. Strange seeing the Pleiades
'upside down', because
to you they will not be, but to us northerners, from your location they will appear so.

Quite like the South polar star trails, with the Milky Way & the Magellanic Clouds.

Also using Orion's Belt to point UP to Sirius & DOWN to Aldebaran, another strange
thing!!!!

Well done, brilliant stuff.

it is contributoors like yourself & Anthmartian who are raising the standard of the material on
YouTube, turning it from a site that hosted mostly
crap, to a site with considerable worthwhile content.

Andrew Brown.

"I suddenly noticed an anomaly to the left of Io, just off the rim of that world. Once again I must stress how brilliant that bit of film is, both the movie & the soundtrack.

I often put it on now, when I go online & turn the volume up, much to the
annoyance of my wife.

Please do post another. Whatc are you going to image? Anything that takes your fancy??

I have NEVER been to the southern hemisphere in fact I live a long way north,
51 degrees 8' North.

The fursthest south I have ever been is my wife's home city, Zhanjiang, in China, 21 degrees North.
From there, the sky does look very different.

Quite surprising how small Orion looks when so high up & seeing Sirius shine with a very steady white,
instead of flashing all colours as from here.

Must go down under some time.

Andrew Brown.

"I suddenly noticed an anomaly to the left of Io, just off the rim of that world. I concur with everyone above, stunning work, the sheer quality being it's own reward for your obvious devotion. Outstanding.

Any I chance you have Hi-res stills available anywhere on the net?

I wish I could remember
But my selective memory
Won't let me - Mark Oliver Everett
