Back in 1984, astronomers stumbled upon clues suggesting the presence of rings around Neptune. However, this finding remained somewhat obscure until 1989 when the Voyager 2 spacecraft embarked on its mission to explore the outer edges of our solar system.

Thanks to Voyager 2's sharp observations and sophisticated tools, scientists not only confirmed the existence of Neptune's rings but also provided valuable details about them. Unlike Saturn's famous and easily visible rings, Neptune's rings are extremely faint and hard to spot from Earth. This makes them less well-known compared to their more prominent counterparts.
