Well I was in Flordia for the first attempt. I think there was like an eight mile backup getting anywhere near the space center. I had all my equipment, my sister in law and kids all ready to view the launch. What a bummer when it got cancelled. This time around I'll just have to enjoy watching it on T.V or better yet from a webcast. The truth is shuttle launches are just too unpredictable to travel to one if you live outside of Florida or southern Georgia.

"...shuttle launches are just too unpredictable to travel to one if you live outside of Florida or southern Georgia."

Try coming from Australia!!! But I WILL do it again some time. Maybe in the Spring or Fall for more stable weather...

It looks like the KSCVC info sheet was updated today, again. KSCVC opens at 6:30AM with suggested arrival time of no later than 7:00AM. Bus boarding begins at 7:30AM ending at 8:30AM.

Since my friend cannot go, I have an extra launch viewing ticket (viewing from the causeway) that will go to waste if it launches Tuesday. If anyone is interested, drop me a PM for details before tommorow morning. I don't have an extra parking permit, so one would have to pick one up at the KSCVC before the launch day.
That can't be...30 mins to allow 15,000 people in to park?

Can you show me where this info sheet is? My friends are going to the causeway :) Thanks.

-Ben

It's an hour, but that's still not much time. I wonder how they plan on getting it done...

Sure! They gave us the address to an updated info sheet in the information packet.

http://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/LTT3.pdf

I think they are just "suggesting" arrving no later than seven, but with only one hour to board buses, I'm not sure how that's going to work either, lol. I guess get there early, then snooze later.
