The use of the term "racist" in our forums is used in many cases as an insult toward another community member ("You are a racist!"). We want to discourage this, as we discourage the use of "liar" or "hypocrite", and other more direct insults (some include profanity, which I won't use here) toward one another here. However, to call another community member a racist is an even more serious accusation, the accuser making a deep value judgment that can be quite damaging to one's character.
Sometimes a community member will say, "what you said was racist" to another community member. In this case, the user must back up his claims when challenged by either a fellow community member and/or a moderator/admin. Said backup must be deemed satisfactory by the moderators, who will discuss the issue and come to a consensus. If you don't back up your claim of against another community member, or refuse to do so, you will get a 72 hour ban.
Best thing to do is not to use this term in the first place against each other.
