I heard that the big bang was caused by a knot of curved space that unkinked itself, do you know if this is true? And could humans ever wield a curved space time bomb?
I don't think the "unkinked" hypothesis is widely accepted. It is unlikely that humans will weild big bang energy levels in the coming million years. Likely we will be back in the stone age (or extinct) in a million years, so space time bomb is likely never, for humans, but some other race of beings may do something like that. Neil
Its easy to create a colossal amount of energy, just fuse and then annihilate super atoms. We can wield that much energy, but since spacetime tells mass how to move; mass tells spacetime how to curve we wouldn't need that much energy, if we possessed curved spacetime, we could figure out a way to unkink it. We could possess such a bomb in the "near" future.
It is very possible to create continent destroying bombs now, its called a super 100 stage fusion annihilation bomb.

Which is a multi stage anti-matter bomb using super atoms
http://www.afrlhorizons.com/Briefs/Jun05/OSRH0503.html
