I did see some small debris, moving toward the right side of the screen.

Starflury - did you see anything - or were you just asking if ANYONE did?

BEAUTIFUL launch. During E.T. Sep, I saw two chunks of what looked like ice or maybe light colored foam from the intertank area spinning away to the right side of the screen.

One Percent of Federal Funding For Space: America CAN Afford it!! LEO is a Prison -- It's time for a JAILBREAK!!

I saw a large piece, perhaps ice jetting off to the right side of the screen as the ET separated from the shuttle. It did not appear to go any where near the shuttle though. That might have been normal, but we've never had that view before.

I have to say, the ET foam looked rock-solid in the field of view we got from it's camera.

Who is this superhero? Henry, the mild-mannered janitor ... could be!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring Back The Black!

Yeah, i saw the SRB spin a little, but they disappeared from my view fast. And there was hardly any foam that we could see from the tank cam.

From Space Flight Now

1512 GMT (11:12 a.m. EDT)

T+plus 33 minutes. A few seconds after solid rocket booster separation, a large chunk of something broke free from the external fuel tank. The onboard video camera mounted on the tank showed the object flying away from the vehicle without striking Discovery.

Too much video! I've got 3+ gigs recorded, I'm running out of space! Must get a larger drive or clear up more space before a launch.

From Space Flight Now

T+plus 39 minutes, 30 seconds. The twin Orbital Maneuvering System engines on the tail of Discovery have been fired successfully to propel the shuttle the rest of the way to orbit. The new orbit is 142 by 98 statute miles. The next maneuvering burn is coming up around 4 p.m. EDT to raise the orbit to 191 by 141 miles as the rendezvous continues to reach the station.

A long wait begins!
