I've actually got a feeling that the video game they played wasn't completely interactive. Sure, it's more energetic, but I didn't see the clones actually doing any of those moves. It's more like various moves are scripted to simpler moves, sort of like those arcade dance games. I mean, seeing as how they need to keep the clones in check, I wouldn't actually train them to fight. That's just silly. Heck, I might even use a game like that to teach them flawed and actually ineffectual combat styles. That way competent security personel can easily handle the clones.

I mean, I play some pretty complicated fight games myself...but I don't know how to do some of the things they pull off (and am pretty sure you can't do some).

yeah, i think the doctor going there in the end was a little silly. But he did go with a gun, and it was really effective. It wasn't until things started falling apart that he lost the upper hand. He also went with backup. As for the killer, I think he didn't want to use him anymore because a) that last conversation was probably creepy and b) this was on his turf, and internal matter, and his personel could handle it at the moment.

Was the hero proof explosion a bit cliche? Yes, but I won't dock the entire movie because of it.

--------------------SaiphMOD@gmail.com -------------------

"This is my Timey Wimey Detector. Goes "bing" when there's stuff. It also fries eggs at 30 paces, wether you want it to or not actually. I've learned to stay away from hens: It's not pretty when they blow" -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"

Yeah, but thats what I meant by saying "Great movie, until the last five minutes"

I want to see, JUST ONCE, a movie where the guns are DANGEROUS to all concerned, people shining torches in a night time battle attract a storm of fire, from BOTH sides, which they DO NOT SURVIVE BY DUCKING BEHIND A CAR*. Where the hero survives either by avoiding any and all gun battles, or by shooting first, and killing all his opponents before they can fire back. Where shooting from a window in a normal house, gets someone dead because the enemy simple shoot through the walls of the house.
Where people killed by explosions are not simply dead, while still being recognisably human, with a little blood on their faces.

Where planes that come under fire from machineguns as they taxi down the runway simply fall apart, and DO NOT make it into the air anyway.

Where cars sideswiped at 70 miles an hour DO NOT take the hit and keep on track.

Where people have to stop for a slash three times a day.

Where bad guys do NOT come equiped with facial scars and sneers. AND STUPIDLY SLOW REACTION TIMES! [sheesh]

Why doesn't someone TRY the public on a dose of realism?. Just ONCE.

*a .303 fired from within one hundred yards, will 9 times out of ten pass right through a car, side to side. It is quite likely to do so end to end as well, engine block and all. And on the way through, it will be about the size of a wallnut, and an irregular shape, and NOT something you want to intercept.

In reply to:

Any comments?

It was a decent action movie that had a dash of science fiction for flavor.

In reply to:

sluggah316: anybody else think Scarlett Johansson is realllly hott?

She's not unattractive.

In reply to:

Londo_Mollari: She is, but unfortunelly she is lesbian

Not that there's anything wrong with that...
However, before you cancel your Friday date with young Scarlett, note that you'll be standing in line behind Jared Leto. She's been dating him, the danged fickle lesbian. Don't be surprised if you see a picture of Benicio Del Toro on the mantle either – she dated him before Jared (don't ask why I know these things...), though I suppose there could be more to these guys than meets the eye. Or less, technically.

In reply to:

Leovinus: The only thing I didn't like was the obvious and unnecessary product placement for a company that I detest. In a way, it's the way of the past ("...And this episode was brought to you by Malt-o-meal..."), but as corporations find new ways to squeeze money out of the system, it'll happen more and more. Spoilers below

No peeking now!

* Loved the stingers. Flying crotch rockets. I want one (no gunner seat necessary).

Well, not that it was NECESSARY, but why wouldn't you WANT a gunner seat?.

I would LOVE to cruise along ABOVE the highway, sorting out traffic violations. And people I didn't like the look of!.

Sean Bean played Boromir. He was a great leader of men, kept Mordor contained, and fought the strength of The Eye, and the influence of The Great Ring successfully for WEEKS. That it beat him finally was no shame, Galadriel herself was tempted, and knew She wouldn't be able to resist it.

And when the time came, he made a red slaughter of the enemies of his people, and didn't bow to them. And took his Rightful Kings hand before death.

Let us hear no more of this wondering that runs so close to blasphemy !

However... if there were an option to put a turret on my Jeep, that might be worth considering. Might make the 405 worth driving.

In reply to:

RE: Sean Bean: Let us hear no more of this wondering that runs so close to blasphemy !

Okay, Boromir redeemed himself.
