Not sure if anyone remembers me, but I posted awhile back here:
http://uplink.space.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=askastronomer&Number=517008&page=1&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=1#Post517798

Since then I have managed to purchase several scopes. A Meade 4.5" 130 EQ. Mistake! But I only ended up paying $30 because it has missing parts and I got a large refund. I have began to restore it, and fix it up and so far it offers views that are about 50% better then when I got it. New primary mirror, 1.25" adapter (free from Meade!), some new EP's, a new mount, a new paint job and it's looking like a totally differnt scope. I also got a Orion 130ST 5.1"; Amazing views! (again used $150) which I like very much, and it had some great reviews. I also got a Tasco 3" (also used for $25) for a quick grab and go scope to find interesting things that I might want to look at, and I just ordered a Orion XT10 intelliscope (10" Dob) without the Starfinder deal, but I may get it later on as the mount is upgradable, but I'd rather learn the hard way first so I can appreciate the easier method.

I had to sell my car, and kids to buy all this stuff however. Actually I was just hording my tax money.

The only real issues I've run into is now that I have all these telescopes my neighbers have started leaving their outside lights on all the time! There are only 3 neighbers, but they have bright lights. Used to be a really nice dark area. I'm rather tempted to pull out the BB gun now as asking them nicely to turn off the lights does not seem to work for long. The BB gun idea was my daughters btw, and while I don't want to condone that sort of thing, it's becoming rather tempting.
