then y haven't they gotten farther in space? last 36 years has been a JOKE!!!!!!!!!! loook at the technology then and look how far we come ,look at the technology now, we came so far but nothing has been done.. they should use the money for hungry people and the homeless and worry about his world, because we have ruined this one. and the usa is like a trillion dollars in debt, another joke!!!we need to qiot helping others and worry about ourselves first....yeah kick me out of this board and then you can talk your BS about the space program, and you will keep talking about nothing because they wont do anything. sure i like telescopes and looking at stuff but to think your talking about them going to mars and such, THEY SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE AND BEYOND, AND THATS A FACT!!!!!!!!

You're shouting. No need for that, really. It's considered rude.

Should the program be further along than it is? Absolutely.

But if you want to blame someone, blame Congress - they cut the funding.

And the American People. They lost the vision.
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find and not to yeild. - Tennyson

> THEY SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE AND
/> BEYOND, AND THATS A FACT!!!!!!!!
Absolutely. We should have faked a manned Mars mission years ago. Why with today's CGI we could fake a landing on Pluto for less money than it takes to send New Horizon's for a quick flyby of Pluto!

How else do you get moon rock that isn't sizzled? My question is, why are we in a race against China to get to the moon, again? I couldn't reply to the thread starter as he's gone... right?
No...blame Brookings and small minded, preist like attitudes that believe the masses cannot/should not handle the truth.

Shouldn't rule out conspiracy either.

The American people lost the vision because they were not permitted to see the truth.

Either way, thanks Big Brother.

No...blame Brookings and small minded, preist like attitudes that believe the masses cannot/should not handle the truth.

Shouldn't rule out conspiracy either.

Talk about Zenith and Nadir all in one. Your comments and what you believe science does on a day to day basis proves the point.

If there are those of you out there who take a fact and warp it into a conspiracy, and comments such as "priest-like attitude," then no, many people can't handle the truth.

Thanks for the oh-so clear example.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

I don't get it. You two are in agreement that the Moon landings weren't a hoax, and yet you're still bickering...

If you read his post on that (above), it doesn't sound at all like he is in agreement.

That's all.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

That we went to the Moon??? No doubt in my mind.

The rest.... no. Definitely don't agree. Especially in light of recent discoveries.

Hum. Not certain what you're referring to. But my apologies on the Moon Landing aspect of it. You sounded totally contrarian in your post.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

was the moon landing a hoax???

Y_ASK_Y---hoax or not?

sky---Of course it wasn't a hoax! We went to the moon and remember, the Soviet Union bragged that one day they would "bury us."

With the ability to track spacecraft as well and during the time the Cold War was hot, do you really think the Soviets would have gone along with an American moon hoax and allowed the United States to take credit for placing the first man on the moon? I think not!

Which moon were we talking about? there are over 1,000 of 'em in this star system alone! And which time, prehistorically or during the last 50 years? Never know what happened before the last ice age, ya know? Civilization may have been ended and restarted several times in the last half million years. We may not have long to wait for our next Ice Age, anyway. That Atlantic Conveyor Current will get turned off after a few more warmer than normal years like 2005!!
This was just a thread to waste everyone's time with, right?

Not a hoax. Apollo really landed 6 missions, 12 humans on the Moon.
