A quick question with respect to MSL in 2009 - who's providing the snacks for the Great Galactic Ghoul? Last year the British and Japanese were kind enough to keep him well fed - hence the success of Mars Express and the MERs, but what about 2009?

Maybe the Galacctic Ghoul doesn't need to be fed that often.

Maybe he'll be so excited about two juicy missions (Mars Science Laboratory and Mars Telecommunications Orbiter) that he won't be able to chose between them and they'll both slip though?

*Resolves to keep fingers crossed for next five years*

I say we launch a decoy payload of Twinkies to feed the Great Galactic Ghoul. Otherwise, MSL's nuclear power source is gonna give her one whopper of a tummy ache.

It's been weeks since I've been active at Uplink, and I return to learn about the Great Galactic Ghoul.

I picked a good day to come back!

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"
