How do I work out something like 1/3 on a calculator? In class they are like divide it by 1/3 and you have ur answer. How would I do for example an object is £100 and it has 1/3rd off today only.

If I remember my arithmetic correctly, 1/3 of 100 is (100/3)=~33.333. Therefore, 1/3 off 100 would be 100 - 33.33 = ~66.67. I hope this isn't a homework question.

If you divide 100 by 1/3 you/ll get 300.

If you want to see how much is 100 if you take away 1/3 of it, you would do this:
100-(100*(1/3))
