While acknowledging Picard's strengths, Kirk is still my favorite. IMO, Kirk is much more in the mold of old pulp-age SF heroes: impulsive, dashing, and quick on the draw, a doer rather than a thinker. Picard is a more modern hero: stoic, cerebral, deliberate, and firm, yet always ready to listen.<br /><br />I guess my tastes are just old-fashioned. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" />
