We are, after all, discussing the fates of the lives of various human beings.  Speculation and fanatic sensationalim are things I find distasteful in such things.You're probably right. Daddy is going to call in every possible favor he can.  But, if they have enough evidence on her it won't matter.. or shouldn't matter.  One former cop isn't going to be able to coverup this particular case if it turns out they have enough evidence to convict.I'd like to know where these missing "players" are: The "babysitter", if she really exists, and the father.  I'd also wonder how her financials looked and if anyone has noticed her with large amounts of cash or the father or another relative having a sudden cash influx.  Selling babies isn't unheard of and despite the evidence of "decomposition" in the trunk, I'd not leave any avenue unexplored.   <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> I put on my robe and wizard hat... </div>

And in Florida they have the death penalty and use it, often.  They also have a very short appeals process.  It's also very possible to convict without a body based on the physical evidence - decomp in the car, her DNA & hairs etc.Hopefully the mom ends up getting the needle.BTW: IIRC the baby's father died last year. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>

You know..  This whole thing is tiresome.  Every single night there are hours spent on this topic between various legal speculators on "News" channels rambling back and forth about things they couldn't possibly know using "evidence" they couldn't possibly have access to using opinions that couldn't possibly be informed.  WTF?Every... Single... Time.. something like this comes up, some news agencies want to recreate the friggin O.J. Trial.  I can't see one reason at all, none, nada, zilcho, zip, null set for the amount of blabbering yammering ingorance these people insist on yaulping across the airwaves when, in my opinion, those "news hours" could be more constructively spent presenting "news."Yeah, it's a sore spot with me.  I hate sensationalized pop-psuedo-reality-show journalism when it has absolutely no value except engendering the same appeal of driving past a train-wreck.  The depressing thing is that people do want to look and they do want to sit on their couches, munching popcorn and postulating about the unpostulatable...So, what do I do in response?  I rant about their worthless activities as if that makes me any better than they are.

I have been strongly suspicious of Cindy being an accessory after the fact. I might be leaning towards Cindy realizing her lax parenting and unjustified defense of all Casey's lapses since childhood have resulted in the death of her granddaughter.Maybe not an offense to be prosecuted for (drat!), but something I sincerely hope Cindy has enormous difficulty in living with.  FWIW, I am thinking Cindy is a 'nutjob', but Casey is an unfeeling (towards others) narcissistic pathological liar.   <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!So many people, so few recipes !!Let's clean up this stinkhole !! </div>
