Very good Question Douglas_clark

I often ride the bus intercity here in NZ. Near the terminal is one of the few places that still sells a few Pulps off the shelf here.

I have brought Analog to read on the trip ( i THINK it was analog anyway, one of the US ones ) about 4 times in recent years. I don't like the consistancy of the stories, so i have stopped buying them now.

I USED to buy old issues of Science Fiction/science fact, Arthur C Clarkes Magazine, Amazing Science fiction, Astounding, your Interzone*and of course Galaxy, from a secondhand shop here in Auckland, they had the VERY best stories in them, all golden age writers.

However, most SH bookshops are gone now in Auckland, and the decrease in supply has lead to a STEEP price curve. You can pay up to $25 for a not very good condition galaxy now. Well, that is YOU might be able to, butI can't go for that sort of dosh.

I would be interested in reading from the best magazine, who has got a suggestion where the quality is now?.

* Thats where i first read Elric of course
