Well, now you knw, ES.

If you'd keep this sort of theory of yours on Seti, maybe you'd be mocked less. People *do* come to SS&A here, expecting a certain...legitimacy...

Fot that matter, people can have civil discussions about really speculative ideas even in Seti. For example, go look at a thread entitled "Fermi's Paradox." Big difference.

There, someone asks a question about hypothetical civilizations, and why we haven't heard anything from them - yet.

And you show us non-evidence (rocks), and then proclaim that they're profound discoveries.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

Something that something might be petrified, still is an evidence of past life.
Do not follow NASA imbeciles, who claim that they want to be 100% sure.
They do not know their names with the sertainty that those pictures prove Martian life and civilization.

e s
Thank you, though I freely admit I've got to be a bit more...polite with some people than I have been. A few times I have been positively pissy.

Gee. I wonder why? Possibly my ingrained tendency to dislike foolishness and stupidity, wherever I find it?

Beats me...

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

You have no authority, no power, no credibility. How, exactly, will you "bite" them? That comment was beyond grandiose...it's more in the nature of "mental problems."

Get a grip.

--Yev

"Mmm. Ummm, something like that, yes?

Yes. I thought to myself, how nice it would be to help people learn some things. Instead, I find myself arguing a lot.

Gotta work on that.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

You don't even have to add the name of the person you're responding to... just click 'reply' on their post and it shows up...

Right you are...lesse...

Aah.

Sorry. It was one of those "not even paying any attention" kind of things. And to think that I used to be a regular here, years ago.

Clearly the mind is the first thing to go...

(Did I just say something?)

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

I think snake oil is what this thread is about....anyone want to clue extrasense into the fact that snakes can mummify or possibly become amber which I believe is just tree sap hardened forever, but I don't think, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that snakes can petrify...

Do you remember Terminator II, when the evil robot fell inside the liquid nitrogen ? What happened to it ? It petrified !!

Now Mars is a cold world, no ? Thus snakes might petrify during cold nights on Mars ...

P.S. I personally think it is a petrified rock.
I feel better than James Brown.
