Yes, precisely.<br /><br />If you have data, even suspect data, but data nonetheless, then there's at least something to talk about. It can be hashed out by people who are expert in uncovering the truth.<br /><br />But this is a coupling of a hugely active imagination, senseless wishful thinking, and pseudo-scientific jargon. Psycho-babble or, at least, Sci-babble.<br /><br />So, on a lighter note, here's a story:<br /><br />I don't remember who it was, but an astronomer in the UK was engaged in a lecture about the nature on the Earth. Gravity, it's spherical nature, etc.<br /><br />"Bosh," said a prim old lady from the audience, "everyone knows that the Earth is held up by a giant turtle."<br /><br />The Scientist thought for a second, and replied "and what is the turtle standing on, might I ask?"<br /><br />The old lady replied indignently, "you're very clever, young man, very clever indeed. But it's turtles, all the way down."<br /><br />You can't win.
