I'm watching nasatv and the sun was just going down in the station, and boy there was a lot of strange objects moving around the veiw. Also a few "shooting stars" coming and going thru the Atmosphere in the distance.

The strange thing is the camera gets panned away quickly once these things come into view. I normally don't believe in little green men, but this is very interesting to say the least.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Wanna see this site looking like the old SDC uplink?

Go here to see how: SDC Eye saver

That pesky constellation Urion again . . . . .

{phenomena has been well understood and documented since (IIRC) John Glen's Mercury flight in '63.}

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!

Your talking about Glenn reporting "fire flies" during the sunrise portion of orbit , that were later determined to be "Frost" from the Craft.

That's only a temporary thing , because "ice" sublimates in Space after a matter of hours.

Now considering the Shuttle has been in Space for several day's already , its highly unlikely that is what was being seen.

Of course UFOs are seen in Space. Yuri Gagarin reported that his craft was "paced" in orbit and that "they flew at incredible speeds".

Both the shuttle and ISS vent as needed.

Hint: constellation Urion. Think about it. The Soviet grozaphlibtzer(or what ever the hell it's called) had it's own thread here a year ago because of it's odd emmanations}

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!

Actually the ISS doesn't vent anything , so if it was a venting event that caused what was seen then it would be from the Shuttle Discovery and that can be checked.

There is a Soviet gadget on the ISS that vented stuff sufficiently weird that we had a thread about here a year ago.

I suppose you want me to bump it up.

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!

No don't bump old threads , if you think it was a venting event then evidence that by showing a venting event took place.

ISS had a fairly serious air leak in the last year or two. (since repaired)

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!

Nice to know that , however it could not be "air" (gas ) that caused what was described by the Author of the thread.

If its been repaired already , then its not really relevant is it?

ISS normally leaks a small amount of air continuously, (containing humidity, btw, tai) when leak rate suddenly increased the station crew got real serious about finding the problem.

Turned out to be a cracked pipe, as I recall.

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!

Well , interesting fact there , but what is the relevance here ?

Normal seepage of humidity containing air from the ISS generates ice particles continuously.

tai

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!

I don't think so.

The Gas , containing a small amount of water vapor will disperse in space and the water molecules will also thus be dispersed and do not coalesce and create Ice particles.

If you think they do you should evidence that as well.

He was making a pun, not trying to annoy you.

The ISS does dump more than just air. So does the Shuttle. In addition to wastewater, there are byproducts from the various hypergolic engines around the vehicle. There may also be stuff dumped by the suits' flash evaporator systems, but I'm not sure about that.

And vented stuff isn't the only thing you're going to see. One of the more remarkable things I've seen on NASA TV was what I believe to be a paint fleck. It was during an undocking, so there were shots of it from multiple angles, revealing its true position. It was quite small and flat, but startlingly brilliant.

No idea if that's what was seen in this circumstance. I wasn't watching at the time.

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"

Spacecraft are constantly shedding crap on orbit. Paint flakes, insulation particles, outgassing, bits of molten metal thrown off by micro-meteoroid impacts, waste dumps. The space around any large orbital structure is rife with this kind of junk.

So ok, the water vapour, paint flecks and outgassed crap might explain the the *space fairies* moving around between the Orbiter, ISS and the camera, they don't explain the stuff moving at extremely high speed (guessing it covers about 100 miles in less than a second) in the distance.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Wanna see this site looking like the old SDC uplink?

Go here to see how: SDC Eye saver

And without knowing the size or distance of the objects how were you able to calculate the speed?

Its pretty obvious you have already decided the "objects" are something mysterious and that there is a coverup.

Go here:

http://www.unknowncountry.com/edge/video/

Watch these NASA shuttle videos.

STS 37
"Space debris" does not come to full-stop in weightless space.

STS 48
Tiangular "ice particles"???

STS 80
Ice particles do not have contrails. Frozen urine dump particles do not "pulse", they do not speed up or slow down. They do not "stop" in weightless space. They do not make sudden right-angle turns.
