Relic Hunter, sort of a Lara Croft: Tomb Raider knock off featuring Tia "If she were President she'd be Baberaham Lincoln" Carrere as a smoking-hot archaeologist with a black belt running around saving priceless antiquities, some having mystical properties, from greedy, unscrupulous private collectors, was running at about the same time as Poltergeist, The Legacy and was much more fun to watch, not the least because the show's creators shamelessly played up the sexual tension between Carrere's character and the male lead played by Christien Anholt.

You know, I used to really enjoy that show! I had forgotten all about it until you mentioned it. Fun.

It is getting somewhat more textured now. I enjoyed last night's show.

They are in some danger of overusing the "past incidents that some of the characters know about,
but the new one's don't" angle, but we'll see.

I hate this show, but I keep watching because Fringe, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Dollhouse are all off the air.

But I am loving Defying Gravity.

Warehouse 13 is way too cute, I feel like I am having my brain rotted every time I watch it.

Isn't Defying Gravity a chick show? I've heard it should have been titled "As the Space Station Turns" or maybe "Defying Reason".

Short answer, yes. It is chick scifi, like Firefly.

So far no explosion porn, but one sex scene, and some pretty hard science fiction (besides some minor physics issues, that they have been correcting during the show).

It was funny, how they explained the lack of zero g hair, actually quite smart.

WHAT? You mean the show is suppose to be in zero g and the are doing stupid zero g effects like Jerry Lewis in The Reluctant Astronaut and all they can come up with is an explanation for the hair???

Looks at ratings. 2.4, 2.3, 1.8, 1.7, 1.8, 1.7, 2.7.

Looking at the wiki page it's a shame it was pitched to the networks as "Grey's Anatomy in space". I might have actually watched it if they hadn't because the premise sounds interesting.

Check out the Defying Gravity thread on the SF board for more detailed reviews. If you are really interested you can watch all the episodes on http://www.hulu.com.

It seems to be continuing the more serious bent of late. Season finale next week looks like
it might be good....

(Wharehouse 13 that is)

Re: Warehouse 13 / Rehased old ideas

This Show reminds me of your vintage shows of old such as Twilight Zone and some of the up to date shows X Files &
Fringe. They need to bring some fresh ideas to the table and build on that.

Who can fault you, really. It's the little things like Pete cutting Claudia off in mid-The Tell-Tale Heart reference because he heard something coming from the wall which give it that "way too cute" factor.

I watch this show but have a hard time putting up with it. It seems so childish and idiotic (corny) much like Eureka. The main reason I watch it is because the good shows...like Defying Gravity, Journeyman, Kings, Space: A&B, Castle, Day Break, Dead Like Me, John Doe, Murder One, Surface, Cover Me, Burn Notice, Dragnet L.A. and basically all other decent and interesting shows...get canceled and there's not much else left.

They did in one of my favorites as well - Moonlight :(

I'm all over the map with my watching, mostly History channel, Military channel, Discovery channel, HGTV.
CSI (original), Ghost Whisperer, and Ghost Hunters...

Some humorously / silly light, some heavier...

I found the finale to be pretty good. They did announce that the show would be back in 2010.

I wonder if Artie is really dead.

After he got the sword plowed thru him?

I've watched a couple of later episodes on Hulu, and they've gotten better. I still think Myka is a bit stiff.

No, after the sword (several episodes) - in the the season finale, it looks like something happened to him,
so probably he's OK.

I find it hard to believe they would write Artie out after only one season, but ...

I think she is supposed to be stiff. :)

I predict they will turn back time somehow, to before all the end of season drama, and fix it all!

Ok so Warehouse 13 is back on our screens, just watched the first episode of season 2, very impressed especially with the H.G Wells twist, can't wait for the Eureka crossover episode.

I was able to watch most of the marathon the other day, before the new season's show came on. I had just started watching it somewhat last season, and did like most of what I saw. There were some moments, or shows, I found other things to do, but did enjoy the final show. What I did like was at the diner when Artie had a meeting with the head people of his group.

SPOILER ALERT for those how have seen the new series show

When I saw him burned up, I kinda of thot he would have the stone in his pocket to bring him back to life. But the show as a whole was pretty nice.

But what I am waiting for is the new Eureka. Now, that is a show I have watched from the very beginning.

There was a series out about 15 to 20 years ago about this team of people that did the same thing, find stuff that was causing problems and fix it somehow. They all lived together in a 3 story book store or some of them did and worked out of it. Does anyonme remember what the name of that series was? I think it dealt more with magic and witchcraft though. Anyway this seems to be like that series to me only more up to date with the effects but the acting isn't that great and writing seems weak at many times. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 stars but barley 5 .

Poltergeist the Legacy is the series you are thinking about
