Zoo hypothesis

The zoo hypothesis is that we and other civilization are kept apart by a ruling alien race or a group of alien races. To keep us all safe. To get to be a member, we might have to develop past war or make it through a test. What do you think about this hypothesis?

I think our Earth/moon setup is freakish. Some other civilization i bet wakes up on a moon to a giant planet in the sky.
They probably wouldn't look for such an odd setup as ours for anything.
Distance and luck for other civilizations, could be a long long way away or not born yet or died ages ago.
As civilizations go we can count on one thing, we are the newborns and primitives.
Maybe we are not very interesting.
