Perhaps her super power is that her alter ego has super human butt-kicking powers, as opposed to just normal human butt-kicking powers. She has dreams of ripping guys in half, after all. Sort of an Incredible Hulk sort of thing.

Or maby her alter ego's super power is super human seduction power?

Nah.... Her normal side has that as well.

So, again we are defeated. All of you people who never had the pleasure of watching Babylon 5 during its first run now have an opportunity to have a similar experience. Heroes lends itself to the same sense of anticipation, mystery, online speculation, etc, that made watching Babylon 5 such a wonderful experience. And, surprisingly, the acting seems to be just as good. Heroes might not get as philosophical as B5 did, but the writing and acting are still some of the best I have seen on TV in a long, long time.

Now, if only we had the equivalent of JMS to banter with. And Gharlane has passed away, so who will take his place?

I only have one concern right now: The "crisis" is only 5 weeks in the future (show time, not real time). That means they have to build to the climax rather quickly it would seem. We have already been privvy to many secrets, and it is only episode 4. I hope they don't blow it by rushing to the resolution too quickly. Wouldn't it have been great if the threat of the nuke had been 5 years in the future instead of 5 weeks?

Vote Libertarian

I think the Nuke is just the starting point, I think that there are many other things that will need to be stopped to save the future. The Nuke is just one thing. Oh and what if they can't stop it. Now that would be quite the twist. But maybe to Jericho like. And Like hiro said right at the beginning, he came back in time to save everything, not just new york.

I think it is pretty obvious that when Hiro met Peter on the train, Hiro was from a lot further in the future than 5 weeks, so you are probably right. One possibility is, that by thwarting the nuke attack, the future is changed to create a new threat. Hiro said that he was "risking a rift" by talking to Peter in the first place.

Vote Libertarian

Just like the Babylon 5 episode "Babylon Squared", it is going to be interesting to see how Hiro gets to the point in which he has to go back to contact Peter. Why is he wearing a Samurai sword? When does he grow the patch of facial hair? etc.

Vote Libertarian

ya, it will be interesting to watch. At least we get a full season of it. One thing that was a little bit of a bother is his ability to speak so much english already. Seems like alot for one episode, but its something that I can overlook

he spoke quite a bit when he first went to new york. The problem is, he doesn't speak it fluently. At the very least, it can take him a while to figure out what was said.

--------------------SaiphMOD@gmail.com -------------------

"This is my Timey Wimey Detector. Goes "bing" when there's stuff. It also fries eggs at 30 paces, wether you want it to or not actually. I've learned to stay away from hens: It's not pretty when they blow" -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"

Mondays episode - out of left field. Looks like they've done what I don't think any other show has tried - killed off a main character off be episode 6, atleast thats what it looked like.

Cool power Niki's husband has - moving through physical objects, but I wander what power the son has?

the son may just be a technical genius. That's what we've seen so far (talking about rebuilding a computer circuit board in the first episode).

I think Syler is his creation of sort, gone wild. He's not a good dad, just a cold pragmatic leader of a shadowy agenda , complete with shadowy characters in a shadowy network. I also think he is the one that killed the young proffessors father.

The top 3 items in this all is the Father of the chearleader( bad guy, but not real bad.), Syler (really bad guy trying to kill just hero's.), and the Voodoo Haitian, whom i believe unlocks potential within people through some form of therapy ritual.

I think the original link is the Haitian, the dead proffessor, and the chearleaders dad. I think Syler was one of the first "unlocked" people.

I think the Haitian is running from Syler and the chearleaders dad. I think Syler wants to stop him from unlocking people.

Have to note, so far, outside of Syler, all the people picked have been people of good character. No villians.
"An organism at war with itself is a doomed organism." - Carl Sagan

*SPOILER*

Anyone figure out what exactly Syler's special ability is after yesterday's episode? He understands how things work, and so after cracking open people's heads, he can take their special abilities?

Caliak, you are correct about seeing this show in order, from the beginning. I've watched the last 3 episodes and can't understand what the big deal is. They spend about 3 minutes on each character (either in the past or the future) then go on to the next and so far, I can see no plotline. So, evidently, you must watch all episodes from the very beginning to enjoy the show. Good luck.

Yes, love this show, but it hasn't been on the last two weeks (much like 3 lbs) so I don't know what's up.

Yes, love this show, but it hasn't been on the last two weeks (much like 3 lbs) so I don't know what's up.

Like all the really good shows out at the moment their either on Christmas holiday or mid season break. Heroes is due back on NBC 2007/01/22. So thats just 1 month of reruns and generally poor quality programs to wade through!

I find TV.COM the best source of info - episode list.

You'll find the next airing of all your programs here.

Well, now that our favorite TV show has come out of hibernation, it's time to resurect this thread.

Unlike most, this episode actually had a few answers in it. I am begining to see how it's going to play out, expecially how Peter Petrelli's ability to absorb other people's powers is going to play into all of this. The big question is how is everyone else going to stop it.

Also, I still don't understand how Ali Larter's character's evil side is going to affect the chain of events, expecially if she's locked up in a looney bin. There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered.

Regardless, I like where the show is headed and can't wait to see the next episode.

So, again we are defeated. Remember Niki/Jess - Ali Larter's character while asking the guard to see her son, without manifesting her other half, stopped that guards attack and snapped the baton in half. The surprised look told it all. She's beginning to loose the need for the other half. This will lead to what i call and alter-ego battle. Depending on how long they want to drag it out, Niki will be whole again.

Peter and Syler are destined for a showdown. They both possess the ability to absorb others powers, just peter does it in a nice way, syler doesn't. Both have the capacity to become the most powerfull hero/villian.

The new power peter displayed near the end of this episode has me wondering. He was using it to leave the hospital , im sure, yet, how did he manifest a power of someone he physically hadn't met yet? Invisibility is a nice boon to his list of powers.

Lets list the powers.

Regen/flight/super strength/osmosis through matter/telepathy/painting the future(divination)/kenetic manipulation/technology affinity/memory manipulation/fission generation (atomic manipulation)/invisibility/beguiling (persuasion) *deceased hero*.

This is , so far, what both peter and syler can draw upon for powers.

There are a ton of powers still to be seen, across a very large list that spans countries. I dare say this whole series can go on almost forever.
"An organism at war with itself is a doomed organism." - Carl Sagan

In reply to:

I hope they don't carry it on to long...If there is a season 3 i'll be mad

If this show is truly based on comic books, then what will probobly happen is that the group will kill off (or more likely, lock away in some sort of insane assilum), the first bad guy just to find that there is another one (or more) right behind him so that way they can keep on going untill the rating give out.

If they don't do this then it will end up like the afformentioned 4400 or Lost where it seems as though even the writers don't know where the show is headed.

So, again we are defeated.
