Re: Moon Landings Faked?
Sorry, although it might appear as such (I still have a great deal of fondness and respect for NASA, its contractors, and especially its people) I am not now, nor was I ever under the direct employ of NASA.
What I did was to work for Rocketdyne (which built some 95% of all the US liquid rocket engines ever built and launched) from 1962 through the year 2000. During that time the main company itself went from being North American Aviation to North American Rockwell, to Rockwell International, and finally to Rocketdyne Boeing. Where I retired from Boeing in April of the year 2000 (good heavens, it has been an entire decade since then!)
A little of my time was in manufacturing directly, some in engineering, but by far the most was in Quality Assurance. I had about a dozen job classifications, some in the Union (which I also have a great fondness for and respect of), and some salaried. I worked on engines for the Gemini, Delta, Atlas, Saturn (Apollo), and the fourth stage of the Peacekeeper missile.
For most of the 1970's I worked at the LAD division on the B1A bomber project. Where most of my time was spent in Systems Engineering as an assistant and associate design engineer on that truly excellent project.
Most of my last years working (from 1977 through 2000) were spent in various capacities in Quality Assurance working on the greatest single piece of engineering ever turned out by such a high tech and excellent company as Rocketdyne. The truly fantastic SSME liquid main engines for the Space Shuttle. However, towards the end of my career for most of the last 5 years or so I also got to work on the RS68 and the Linear Aerospike (I think its designation was the RS2000) Engines which were to be used on the unfortunately aborted X 33.
While at it I also obtains an AA degree with a major in physics from Pierce Jr. Col in 1972, and an AS degree in Numerical Control Programming from the same institution in 1982.
I also married the most wonderful woman in 1963, and had and raised two great children with her (Emma and I fully hope to have our 50th wedding anniversary in 2012). and just on the side I was also in the California National Guard for some 8.5 years during the Viet Nahm era, and obtained the rank of Spec E6 and an honorable discharge in that same time frame.
To put it mildly, I was a young man with a whole lot of fire in my veins and soul!
Hopefully, that is a reasonably full answer to your implied query.
And thanks for even being interested in the first place.
