Gives pause for thought.
Where is the material coming from to create massive new galaxies 10M to 12M years into the life of the universe?
SF here, could there be "black bumps" that are fed from "black holes" elsewhere?
Or, could this material be sourced from a multi-universe matter exchange?
Or, is there another logical answer?

yes. The answer is, no matter can be destroyed, and most of the universe is not stars, but gas, finely difused.

A lot of material that was used in the formation of early formed stars, is used again, in later stars.
