First of a all a big congratulations to the Phoenix team for a smooth touchdown! All your hard work is paying off!

I have been checking out all the new images, which are quite exciting indeed. I was wondering if anybody else has noticed how sub-angular and flat topped all the stones near the lander are? Most MER stones are pretty angular, and do not have striking orientations. I wonder if the freeze thaw cycles has caused this? Even one or two vesiculated volcaninc rocks in view seem to have experience a little 'rounding' in their life history. Any thoughts?

I apologise if this is the wrong thread for such a discussion.

Have a good one!
