Top Ten Ways to Destroy Earth

If you were some type of alien and you could destroy Earth with any weapon, mechanism, or any celestial object, then what would be your top ten list of destuctive methods and why?

(By the way, this idea was influenced by History Channel's The Universe)

No, we won't be thrown out. The sun will just swell and the earth will get hotter and hotter. There would have to be a stupendously huge force to push us out of the solar system and nothing like that should occur with the swelling of the sun to the red giant phase.

The most likely scenario for the earth to be ejected would be if Mercury starts careening about the solar system, which has a small chance of happening before we are incinerated.

If you were an alien into some form of gruesom entertainment with some sort of betting on outcomes, I would give the Al-Queda the capability of sending nukes to the U.S. and then let the aliens bet on how long it would take before every human on earth was killed.

Wayne thanks for the information. This was news to me so I read up a bit on the 'interesting' scenarios where mercury's orbit becomes unstable. Pretty cool. I am very dissapointed that this has not made its way into the woo woo sites yet. What a great new way for the earth to end! Heck, there is even some scientific fact in the scenario.

Several ways (not in sequences) suggested by me:

1. Continue our exploitation on natural environment.
2. Deny the Earth as "a higher form of lives" - Lives are lives in different levels.
3. Expand our civilization in the current speed.
4. Let our imagination to "grow".
5. Produce pollutions as always.

If you follow this guideline, NASA may "capture" me fifty years later.

1. Transmit designs for simplest, most destructive weapons at your advanced disposal to the whole planet. Wait
2. Lob a medium sized titanium rock on the earth at 1/4 the speed of light.
3. "Teleport" all the religious leaders of the Christians and Muslims off planet (leaving their clothes), with a select group their followers. Project the sound of horns around the world and wait for us to all kill each other.
4. Using lasers, melt Antarctica over the course of 1 week. Let the water table do the job.
5. Biological weapon to kill all insects, or plankton. Wait.
6. Completely fill earth orbit with debris, let us drown ourselves.
7. Sun Shade the earth, wait till whole atmosphere freezes.
8. Reflect enough solar heat to the earth to bring the atmosphere to 100 centigrade. Let the water table do the job.
9. Introduce a drug that makes you profoundly happy, but sterile. Wait.
10 Destroy Jerusalem, Vatican city, and Mecca. Leave to clues to who did it. Wait.
