Question Are we destined/doomed to live lonely throughout our existence?

My eyes have seen the coming of the little green men.

Ok is it me or am I missing something. Why is the James Webb Telescope not already scheduled to look at the potential Dyson Spheres.

Sure, it could be a potential waste of a resource but then we're talking about 43 targets not millions. Then again short of using it to directly identify a potentially identified (one that’s well with in its ability to do so) planet where life could/should exist.

Or should I say taking away from such an endeavor ...what's the harm?

After all what could be more important than proving or disproving the existence of such a technologically advanced structure.

You'll forgive me if I hope and pray, you're wrong. Except of course if you're taking about it, happening during our lifetime. Which I will admit is not likely.

Can’t say as I blame professor Loeb; especially if the information he provided truly did receive nothing but a cursory review only. I mean if after the disappearance of Oumuamua there was no attempted investigation into what if anything had happened with light sails either. Then I would hope his book puts the science community to shame; in the end. I.E. an actual public alien visit happens before his neigh sayers can relegate his hypothesis to obscurity.

As for the James Webb that’s what happens when you put those who have no idea of how life (outside of science) works in charge of the instruments that could further it’s understanding.

What new thing can we learn from existence if we dont learn from our own? Life in the universe is propably only meant as a simulator for the universe to expand into new realities. For space phropheting work. Matter does the work, we lay some of the plans for it. We're just a another taste to lay some new foundations in existence and in the meanwhile we can enjoy life and reap the fruits of it.

Some species in the universe cannot contribute and will go extinct, other species are very succesful and will thrive providing reality with never ending new insights. Humans are more a race were a few of us will do a good job for simulating the universe, the rest will only serve as fuel for the few the universe can use. You always see a few humans that change the course of history as opposed to a group. We think its heroic, but its also our judgement as humans. Most of us have desires to take them to places that already exist. For the sake of safety.

The few that humanity has to offer wil go to other races.
To be a realitymachine is not simple, you have to go all the seven stages of immortality and dont get stuck in closed desires or the machine/simulator becomes broken.

The universe must be thriving of life, that's how I feel.
We're not doomed to live lonely because only to this planet with this great diversity of species and interaction and mechanisms we should acknowledge the fact that we might have evolved genetically or have been created by an advanced civilization's scientists, afterall, the truth doesn't need your beliefs to exist.

Now for us to reach out there is highly unlikely

Adult human never feels alone.
When you feel alone try to find some, any interest - go to movie, read a book, talk to somebody who is happy.

Those lyrics, which I obviously paraphrased, remind me and seem appropriate for the wanton fear: the finding of these signals to be or have been an attempt by a civilization quite a bit more advanced than ours to seek out new and/or advanced life forms out there in the vastness of the universe; would cause among many here on our little blue planet.

I must then ask? is existence the end game. Is one day believing we have the answer to our existence the final frontier. I would hope not because at that point we might see no further need to exist. Then as time continued would there be any proof, we ever existed?

Loneliness, the feeling of being without of others and/or in absence of the company of others, is not the purview for seeking the answer to whether we are alone in the Universe. So, while there will always be those who are incapable of excepting differences in and among their own. Their defining moment that their society, and finally civilization, has gone beyond just recognition of the fact: will be their acceptance of the fact.
