Watching it on Television right now, Jane Fonda was absolutly stunning. Would be very hard pressed to pick between her and Raquel Welch in One Million years BC.

Hmmm, shes in the Orgasmotron at the minute.
"All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. I can't watch Hanoi Jane in any movie without being disgusted. Honor and Principle still mean something to me.

Our Solar System must be passing through a Non Sequitur area of space.

Jane Fonda said she made a mistake, not about visiting Hanoi but sitting on an anti-aircraft gun. Look, everyone is entitled to one stupid mistake in her life. Remember, I was an anti-war prostestor also who took men across the border into Canada during this time also.

I never booed the returning soldiers and I don't believe she did either. We realized that the soldiers weren't to blame, the govt was for sending them there. I would never diss soldiers in any war, just the cowards that sent them there....And remember, most of these men were there against their will...this was still the time of the draft....

I think Fonda shows full or nearly full nudity. So that's a plus !!

On the other hand, Raquel gets points for her grunting.

I remember seeing that movie years ago. It was a good movie and Jane Fonda was hot. That movie was a shocker at the time it came out.

Look, everyone is entitled to one stupid mistake in her life.

One stupid mistake, maybe. But Hanoi Jane spent years and years participating in all sorts of damaging activities, activities which helped prolong the war, and which significantly increased the suffering of our soldiers who were prisoners of war. While posing for pictures with the enemy was bad, many other things she did were worse.

Taking people across the border illegally makes you a criminal, but it probably didn’t hurt anyone who was fighting or in the prisons in Vietnam.

Our Solar System must be passing through a Non Sequitur area of space.

You know, you have a point there, I never thought of that. Thank you. And I agree, for every guy who ran to another country instead of staying to fulfill his obligation, another guy had to go in his place.

For those who may consider dodging the draft, or running to Canada, “conscientious objection”, remember this. At that time, the draft (Selective Service) was the law. Evading the draft, regardless of your beliefs, was a criminal offense. Returning to the USA after the war was over was blatant hypocrisy. Those who want to accept the benefits of living in America, without assuming the responsibilities, are hypocrites, and don’t deserve to live here. Those who knowingly assisted in the violations of federal law should be prosecuted.

Our Solar System must be passing through a Non Sequitur area of space.

Thats interesting phiolsophy, mental.

You obey every law implicitly, I expect?. Never speed?. Never jaywalk?. Never denigrate or threaten people electronically ( Federal law in your State, i believe. )

There is a big difference (orders of maginitued actually) between comitting an infraction of the law Eg. speeding, and going ROTC (Run Over To Canada).

Our government is required by the constitution to raise a standing army and provide for the common good.
When you abdicate your responsibility to that government you also give up all protections, rights and benifits of that society which it represents...forever.

The ineffiable/rich Ms Fonda, has had fun dancing (playing the radical protester) but has yet to pay the piper.

Granted you are playing at words, but don't cross up civil missdemeanor with breaking frederal law.

Having spent 2 years in that wonderful little war, I'm here to tell ya. NO same man wants war, and there is nothing good in it, except it's ending.

Mental is correct.

Think I have to edge towards Raquel Welch also.
"All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. We must never, ever be boring" - Chuck Palahniuk.
