I've already read at least one (possible) spoiler for the final season of BSG, and all I'll say is it's bleak.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

Cool. I didn't read that one.

They screwed up, IMO. Here's how I would have written the ending:

All through the series, we keep hearing about how the Colonies were from Kobol. We also kept hearing Cylons repeating, "this has happened before...it will happen again."

My idea is that when the Galactica reaches Earth, they find out that their history was exactly backwards. Kobol - and hence the 12 Colonies - were descended from Earth first; Earth was not the 13th Colony, it was the Mother World. When they arrive, it's around the 35th Century. Earth is abandoned, and only just recovering from devastation. Which was caused by the very first Human/Cylon war, and of which was the proximal cause for Humans to flee to Kobol in the first place.

It all fits. It also explains everything about how they have many familiar Human names, human trappings, aspects of Human cultures, etc.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

This has been puzzelling me about Baltar. Why didn't he die in the initial nuclear blast? I've been watching the replay of the entire series this week and discovered that 6 died in the blast. Now I originally thought that somehow she protected Baltar but if that isn't so then he must be a Cylon too.
Bob DeWoody
