I like sci-fi fables because they provide such other points of view.</font></span><span><font face="Times New Roman">&nbsp;</font></span></font></p><p><span><font face="Times New Roman" size="2">I suppose this BSG story will end out in a dooms-day climax, where a glooming army of Starbucks defeat the Iblis and a new city will be raised from the ruins. <p><BR/>Replying to:<BR/><DIV CLASS='Discussion_PostQuote'>You know, the Hybrid could be speaking metaphorically...the "their end" part might refer to the planet they land on - this is your fate, unless you all change.&nbsp; Posted by yevaud</DIV></p><p>I agree and figured the same.</p><p>Either, there is going to come a point where both sides will be confronted with the futility of their conflict and choose to change or they will have to unite together against a common foe/disaster.&nbsp; Finding "Earth" in ruins is like Scrooge seeing his own tombstone.&nbsp; They'll find evidence of a human/cyborg-mechanical conflict and then the decision will be forced upon them.</p><p>However, an "ending" isn't a good ending if you can't leave the viewers with something to hold on to.&nbsp; So, in that sense, an "ending" doesn't have to be a true end.&nbsp; It can be a new beginning.&nbsp; Nobody really likes "They lived happily ever after." anymore.&nbsp; That's too.. wishy-washy.&nbsp; So, I think there will be something that is brought up, some new mystery or struggle that confronts both Humans and Cylons and forces them to realize that the only way they will be able to survive is to work together against whatever it is.&nbsp; Then, you introduce some conflict or situation for them to overcome and leave the viewer with a whole bunch of hooks and gimmicks for their imagination to work with as the Humans and Cylons battle together in some imagined future. </p><p>It also sets the stage for possible spinoffs and movies as a bargain to boot.&nbsp; "The End" doesn't cut it anymore, IMO. </p> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <font size="1">I put on my robe and wizard hat...</font> </div>
