Someone remind me why I should care who the 5'th Cylon is. Now that we have "good" and "bad" Cylons, it wouldn't seem to matter so much unless you believe that even those co-operating with the humans can't override some programming to betray them. I'm still going with the idea that the Hybrid speaks the truth and so to find out the identity of #5, you need to decipher them true meaning of "comes from the home the the 13'th".

-----------------------------------------------------

Ask not what your Forum Software can do do on you,

Ask it to, please for the love of all that's Holy, STOP !

Here's one an astute fan on I09 mentioned yesterday:

"One of my biggest questions about Battlestar Galactica has always been the numbering of the Cylons. The seven original models all have numbers. Cavil, Leoben, D'Anna, Simon and Doral are 1-5, respectively. Number Six is, of course, 6. Then there's Sharon Valeri, aka Sharon Agathon, aka Boomer, aka Athena. She's number 8.

Either Ronald D. Moore doesn't know what comes after six, or this has been a huge clue slapping us in the face for years. I had just assumed that, for some reason, one of the final five was the missing 7. Then came this revelation that the final five don't have model numbers, which either means there is no 7 or Moore is playing mind games with his fans."

Yeah. Who the Frack is the Cylon's model seven?!

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

I think the episode was brilliant. It answered some questions while causing several others.

I just read an RDM interveiw about the episode which was quite compelling.

Some keys to keep in mind below:

**Hightlight**

The Dee suicide has some serious significance. When she was on the planet, she picked up some kids jumping jacks. Just before she commits suicide, she reflects on her youth. Could she also have had a vision on the planet like the other 4?

In the interview I mentioned, one of the directors gives part of the script of a flash back with Tyrol, simular to the one in this episode but more detailed. It talks about the first explosion and Tyrol's face is littered with glass. A women and man approach him that are badly burnt asking for assistance but Tyrol is out of it. He can no longer look at them when he turns to see a women standing in a door way with black hair.

The script says "Is it Sharron? No." so who is this women that Tyrol knows.

Also in the interview, they talk about Kara's discovery. He talks about her grasping with the thought of herself being a cylon. His comments lead me to believe that maybe, just maybe Kara could actually be a cylon. Maybe there is 13 cylons? Maybe she is a cylon god?

Here is a link to the interview for those who are interested.

http://featuresblogs.chicagotribune.com/entertainment_tv/2009/01/final-fifth-cylon-ellen-tigh-battlestar-galactica-dualla-dee-.html

**Hightlight**

Maybe they're all Cylons? Or, in a neat twist, perhaps it's the original Cylons that created them (humans) to begin with?

Remember, it's a never-ending story. It could be a neat twist that it's not the "exact" conflict that occurs like a rewinded movie but simply a succession of Frankenstein loops - One Frankenstein is victorious and creates its own which then overcomes its masters and ends up creating its own Frankensteins, ad nauseum.

Their task, should they choose, is to "break the cycle" by merging with their own Frankensteins and choosing peace instead of conflict. They must recognize their "children" as being the same as themselves. It's also sort of demigod conflict - It's easy to create something lesser than you are but, it takes something "special" to create your equal.

I put on my robe and wizard hat...
