Would this movie be considered a science-fiction movie since it took place in the future? It was scarry stuff - suggesting that our own ideologies are probably more horrific than anything aliens might inflict upon us. - dannyd

It was originally a novel by Margaret Atwood and by most definitions, yes, it is a work of science fiction. Atwood herself, reluctantly agrees. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font size="2" color="#339966"> I wish I could remember<br /> But my selective memory<br /> Won't let me</font><font size="2" color="#99cc00"> </font><font size="3" color="#339966"><font size="2">- </font></font><font size="1" color="#339966">Mark Oliver Everett</font></p><p> </p> </div>
