OK, now it's starting to come into clearer focus.<br /><br />The Pravda article is mostly a fluff piece, other than the original claim. Which is unsubstantiated (no details at all other that it's gonna hit us by the end of the month.)<br />He seems to be saying more observations can help.<br />Every astronomer knows that the place to report such observations is the CBAT (Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams- a rather anachronistic name today <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /> ), and a report there will get the additional observations needed. I'll check there next.<br /><br />I did a search on "Nikolai Fedorovsky" and found he traveled to Jonestown sometime before the whacko Jim Jones induced hundreds of people to kill themselves.<br />Not great credentials.<br />The second link had on the top a story about "The Great Red Comet". I'll check that out, there have been several woo-woo claims of comets that didn't exist over the last decade, so I'll see which one it was.
