They are used to fire the solid rocket hold-down <br />posts, liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen tail service mast and external tank vent <br />arm system pyros at liftoff and the space shuttle main engine hydrogen gas burn <br />system prior to engine ignition. <br /><br />The shuttle's two Master Events Controllers are being tested. Regarding the weather, it's gonna be a crapshoot.<br /><br />Currently, from what I see there are no showers upstream that would be a problem, however in the current environment one could pop nearby at any time.<br /><br />If things work out, you only need a clear 10 minute window, but it will be close.<br /><br />T- 20:00 and holding, about 1 hour and 15 minutes until launch.<br /><br /> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#000080"><em><font color="#000000">But the Krell forgot one thing John.
