The more you listen, the more you learn what they mean

Really, we get a lot of detail about what is going on that was not available during the Apollo era.

Edit: And I admit I did not get up at 4:45 AM my time (EST) to see if tanking was proceeding.
I figured I'd just find out at 8AM when control of the computer returned to me.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. I am & it is indeed.

Looking forward to this. Looks like the launch will be hapenning. The weather is
definately improving at the Cape & Atlantis is just looking absolutely fantastic right now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From Spaceflightnow.com Justin Ray.

1812 GMT (1:12 p.m. EST)

The ground pyro initiator controllers (PICs) are scheduled to be powered up
around this time in the countdown. Regarding the weather, it's gonna be a crapshoot.

Currently, from what I see there are no showers upstream that would be a problem, however in the current environment one could pop nearby at any time.

If things work out, you only need a clear 10 minute window, but it will be close.

T- 20:00 and holding, about 1 hour and 15 minutes until launch.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. That is so true Thor06.

Love the onboard cameras & film of the launches from them. Are any available on DVD, does
anyone know???
=====================================================
From Spaceflightnow.com Justin Ray.

1830 GMT (1:30 p.m. EST)

T-minus 20 minutes and holding. The countdown has paused for a 10-minute built-in hold.
Launch is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. EST. Everything is going smoothly with the
countdown and current weather conditions are still looking good.

During this built-in hold, all computer programs in Firing Room 4 of the Complex 39
Launch Control Center will be verified to ensure that the proper programs are
available for the countdown; the landing convoy status will be verified and the landing
sites will be checked to support an abort landing during launch today; the Inertial
Measurement Unit preflight alignment will be verified completed; and preparations
are made to transition the orbiter onboard computers to Major Mode 101 upon
coming out of the hold. This configures the computer memory to a terminal
countdown configuration.

Andrew Brown.

"I suddenly noticed an anomaly to the left of Io, just off the rim of that world. Note I have started a Mission thread, that should not be used until after launch.
There's plenty of room here for the climb uphill.

But the Krell forgot one thing John.
