This might be a bit late, but nevertheless.
I don't watch all the Shuttle launches, but i've seen my share, anyway, when watching this launch, it reminded me of that Mortal Combat announcement 'Flawless victory !' :)
It was so beautiful, routine, easy, no-big-deal thing, really impressive. I know i will miss this bird, i almost already do.

Just saw a very nice pass of the ISS/Shuttle pair here in NJ, the shuttle trailing by about 30 seconds.

Dragged everybody in my house, as well as everyone in the neighbor's house to see it.

Due to weather and orbital timing, this is only the second time in 129 missions that I have ever been able to see the two
close to each other. I'm glad I got to see the spectacle 1 more time. Also caught a brief -2.5 glint off the shuttle making it almost as bright as the ISS for a few seconds.

There's another pass across the mid Atlantic coast on the next orbit, VERY low (12 deg) in the SW for me. ~ 6:44 PM EST.

Just took a peek at weather for the Cape tomorrow morning; winds look to be pretty high (NW 10-15 + gusts).

Saturday morning winds will be much lower, still with clear skies.

Seems pretty textbook shuttle flight for me... First launch opportunity and up she went and now the first landing opportunity has been confirmed.

Here once again NasaTV direct stream links:

Yes, looks like they will get the official OK in a few minutes. Correction, they just got the official go.
Deorbit burn at 8:37 EST, landing at 9:44 EST.

Winds are a bit high, but aligned well with runway 33, and well withing limits.

Not much chance of an Edwards landing this morning! De-orbit burn at 0537PST.

I'm always struck by the delicate balance of staying in orbit that reducing the speed by a mere 211 mph is enough to bring the shuttle down in less than 1 full orbit.
