Wrestling on Sci-Fi channel?

Fat chance, if it ain't on Spike TV yet it will never be on any TV channel.<br /><br />But honest to God they did have a wrestling program on Sci-Fi the other night. Yeah, I saw Sci-Fi had put up wrestling... /sigh<br /><br />It's not bad enough that they produce the dumbest monster/disaster flicks this side of the Pacific..but, now they're putting wrestling into the lineup? /sigh<br /><br />"Science" Fiction... presumably has something to do with science or fictional technology. Heck, even a strange society can be "science-fictionish." Sci-Fi needs to get back to hard science fiction. That's what they should do! They should do a parody of Celebrity Death Match except use science-fiction aliens as the stars of the show! Take them from movies and books. WWE bought the rights to ECW and "brought back that wrestling show". Spike didn't want to pick it up and neither did USA or any of the major networks. So somehow SciFi did pick it up. It's actually been on (here) for about a year now. I watched the first few as my ex-roommate was a huge wrestling fan. <br /><br />To go along with the whole SciFi thing, they brought in a token character, one was a Zombie, another was a Vampire. It was pretty corny.<br /><br />When the SciFi Channel was first announced, I was tickled to see some good SciFi, however I have been disappointed with their programing since the inception. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <font color="#ff0000"><u><em>Don't let your sig line incite a gay thread ;>)</em></u></font> </div>

Your Borg idea brought to mind a best of 2 out of 3 pins between Predator vs. Alien. But maybe you would have to handicap them a little to keep them from eating each other, or however they want to destroy the other.<br /><br />But this is a prime example of why they COULD NOT be trusted with such fine works as the Foundation Triology or other good works. This is in refferance to another thread about challenging Sci/Fi to produce a good series.

well, I just have to bring up old beefs again. I'm a new member here and sci-fi fan. I've always hated wrestling, and to have it on the sci-fi channel just bugs the crap out of me!! And tonight, instead of 4 epidsodes of Enterprise, they put wrestling on! Sheesh!
