Dark energy telescopes

Are scientists currently pursuing the creation of dark energy telescopes? <br /><br />If dark energy travels faster than light, then this type of telescope could extend astronomical observations well beyond our current visibility horizon!<br /><br />Personally, I am extremely excited about this prospect for future astronomy!<br /><br />I know we have not yet observed dark energy - but isn't the observation of said form of energy the method to construct a dark energy observatory?<br /><br />Just trying to motivate you all to strive to observe dark energy - it could have incredible benefits!
