Anyone pick up the call by one of the crew (shuttle?) asking for private comm' session for a PMC (I assume private medical conference) both just before and now just after the shuttle docking?
Didn't pick up the name...

Anyway, belated congratulations to SG and the team on the mission so far.

Peter

I wonder about that picture with the red square from nasaspaceflight.com. The Flame Trench has almost the same picture and the caption says: "The starboard OMS pod has a small tear, which is not visible in this photo." I can't help wondering why it is visible in the one with the red square, it looks like it was taken from the almost the same angle. Also, the story at Flame Trench says "The tear appears to be several inches wide and is located on the rear lip of the pod." I would call the red square at the front.

Not trying to criticize, just something isn't clicking for me. I might be in left field... is the red square supposed to be the tear?

Wow, clear view of the ISS as it flew straight over me. Very bright.

Did you manage to see it Andrew?

Yah, I remember you saying the shadow looking square on the back of the left was the tear. Maybe somebody in the news gets as confused about port and starboard as I do. Port is left, right?

I'm fairly sure I saw ISS where I was - a very bright (-2.5) and steady, moving light compared to all the other stars and planes, and then, some distance above the horizon, it immediately vanished.

I have not seen it since they moved the array to it's new position.
Is it even brighter now?

                            www.watchnasatv.com

                          ONE PERCENT FOR NASA!

When they add the 4th set of arrays will that make a significant different to the brightness?

They are intermittently showing close ups of the pod, not sure which one. It looks like a tiny corner is lifted near a seam which almost looks like a slice.

Have a nice afternoon shuttle_guy.

They may wind up doing that (in fact, I'm sure a reboot would occur anyway during the troubleshooting process), but since there was no immediate need, they elected to download the error logs to learn more about the anomoly before rebooting.

From what I understand, it came up fine, but was not working and playing well with others.

But the Krell forgot one thing John.
