The Fantastic 4 vs X-men. Hmmmm....

Jessical Alba, Famke Janssen, Halle Berry and Rebecca Romijn in a rumble.

I'd watch.

Vote Libertarian

Spacefire,

I think you're right. But for the shear number of people, it may be an outnumbered match unless you throw in the Avengers or some such group on the F.F.'s side.

Yes. Aren't there a lot more X-people? Would they duel in lots of four?

Jean Grey lifts everyone up, then Professor Xavier makes them all think they are babies. They are then taught at the academy and turned into Xmen.

The X-Men are Marvel's moneymaker. Always been. So it's simple really. I'm going with the mighty $$$.

well, in general they both have the same power level to their various abilities. Afterall, the human torch is basically a different version of Iceman.

The X-men have a couple of power players on their side, so in the end they'd win (if you kept their vast numbers from overwhelming the FF)

--------------------SaiphMOD@gmail.com -------------------

"This is my Timey Wimey Detector. Goes "bing" when there's stuff. It also fries eggs at 30 paces, wether you want it to or not actually. I've learned to stay away from hens: It's not pretty when they blow" -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"

How about Spiderman, Hulk, F-4, X-Men, Batman, Superman, Lawnmower Man, how to arrange them in term of their power and ability? you may also want to include me LukMan, but i am definitely in the bottom list -)

Superman would have to be number 1. Strong, fast, lots of cool powers. And the only thing that could hurt him is kryptonite.

I have an answer for everything...you may not like the answer or it may not satisfy your curiosity..but it will still be an answer.
"Imagination is more important then Knowledge" ~Albert Einstien~
Guns dont kill people. Doctor Strange would be way up there too.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

Note that Lawnmower Man has a mind over matter ability, he can turn a superman into a frog, his ability is something equal to Caretaker and Q from star trek

And by the way.....if the Xmen can use their parttime members don't the FF get to use theirs?

Former Members:
Ant-Man, Crystal, Luke Cage, Medusa, Ms. Marvel, Namorita, She-Hulk

Other Members (Honorary, Reserve, etc.):
Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Hulk

http://www.marvel.com/universe/Fantastic_Four

But if you notice from the web site you mentioned that they always had 4 members on duty, and the others were just replacements for the time.

It has always been the Fan. "4", not 7 or 8.

Special exceptions not included, like battles in other universes and the such.

Would that exclude team ups? I've seen the FF team up with heroes such as Spiderman.

I also found a torrent called FF vs XMen. I'll let you know who wins.

Yes, but that also would fall under the special exceptions part, I would think.

And yes, I seem to remember there was a time when they did face each other, but the details are hazy.

Everyone of the five are on the FF's jet flying to Latveria. SheHulk was wearing her FF uniform as were the others. Therefore there can be more than four members at a time. I seem to remember Crystal being with the Four at one point and not as Sue's temp.

That depends on what Roster you're consulting. If you're talking the collective members over time, the X-Men, there's simply been too many of them, with god-like abilities. Only Reed and Sue's son might qualify for that.

In reply to VagueShip,

But as I remember reading from material and links in this thread, She-Hulk joined after Thing left for whatever reason he did. And that still made four. But when they went to battle with the bad guy at the time, Thing rejoined them, and knowing they would need all the forces they could muster, there was no need to kick anyone out.

But the group originated as 4 and generally speaking stayed the same with all the noted exception given. And so much for all the SERIOUS discussion on the matter. But to really get a true answer, maybe we need to call on the REAL superhero of all, Stan The Man, the creator of all the TRUE superheros all around.

"She-Hulk joined after Thing left for whatever reason"

Ben Grimm chose to remain behind on the Beyonder's battle planet after the war. While he was there, he found that he could switch between being Ben and being the Thing at will. After some solo adventures there, he found himself stuck as the Thing again, and returned home.

(To find out Johnny had taken up with Alicia Masters, only it wasn't really Alicia, but a Skrull, but that is all a different story)

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

So, Wayne,

In lieu of Stan the Man's presence, the question is can the Fantastic Four actually be the Fantastic Five or Six?

Oh, and thanks for your answer, I stand corrected gladly.
