Everything looks OK, smells OK, no visible smoke or fire. They think everything is normal. I think they said a possible doppler? trigger? Not sure what that means. Looks like a software issue.

"Clay: THERE IS NO FIRE!!

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Discontinuing emergency fire procedure.
Resuming nominal status.

Looks like software problem after a reboot.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. That was pretty interesting to hear the alarms going off in the background of the audio loops.

And interesting to hear Clay get on and say, with obvious conviction, "There is no fire!"

Useless CNN had a live shot of NASA TV on talking about the solar arrays while the whole thing was going on. Seems like their producers don't bother potting up the audio on the feed.

With the procedures in place, which are designed to respond effectively to any emrgency, that is unlikely. Thogh not impossible.

Unless a space war has started

But the Krell forgot one thing John. They are back to normal tasks and will just check once in a while as a precaution.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. False alarm.

Believe you me, if it was a real fire, smoke would quickly be a big problem, & the rise in temperature
in such a small space, would be felt almost immediately.

Question, if it was for real, could the ISS crew quickly suit up, & decompress the ISS?

No oxygen no fire.

Andrew Brown.

"I suddenly noticed an anomaly to the left of Io, just off the rim of that world. It happened a while ago (maybe before Christmas cant really remember), when an alarm went off when they thought they had some leak of toxic gas. Same type of alarm, was strange to hear it

If the schedule holds, the Mission Status Briefing should start in a few minutes on NASA TV.
Should be interesting....

But the Krell forgot one thing John. "Question, if it was for real, could the ISS crew quickly suit up, & decompress the ISS? "

First off, I think they would seal off the module and just decomp the one (or the string of them, from the hub). But, also, if memory servers, they only have to decomp a few PSI to put out a fire. I think they crew still needs SCBAs, but it's not lethal. This may not be what they have procedures for, but I seem to recall that only a few PSI drop will put out a fire.

Or more annoyingly, (which is why I'm annoyed) not even happened on NASA TV when I stay up for the extra 4 hours waiting for one that doesn't happen to make an even 24 day.
See, I'm so sleep deprived, I'm not even coherent!!

I actually do need some sleep now and then

But the Krell forgot one thing John.
